As I peruse through these enchanting displays of creativity and nostalgia, it warms my heart to see how these celebrities immerse themselves in the spirit of Halloween. From recreating iconic film characters to poking fun at their own personas, each costume tells a unique story about their lives and experiences.

Ezra Sosa raised the barre with his Halloween costume.

The professional dancer on “Dancing With the Stars” honored his past dance partner, Anna Delvey, during the holiday by acknowledging her unique departure from the show this season, particularly when she declared she was leaving with “nothing.” In other words, he paid tribute to Anna by referencing her distinctive exit line.

In TikTok videos posted on October 31st, Ezra mimicked Anna’s elimination appearance by wearing a shimmering gold dress with fringe, black sunglasses, a long brunette wig, and black strappy heels. The most striking part of his outfit was the blinged-out ankle monitor he wore, a copy of the one the fake heiress had to wear on the dancing competition series because she’s been under house arrest since her release from ICE custody in 2022.

In a single video, a 23-year-old displayed the outfit by moving the camera from his ankle to a full-body shot while audio of Anna’s post-elimination interview was heard. Members of his “Dancing with the Stars” family couldn’t resist joining in on the comments, and Chandler Kinney wrote, “EZRAAAAA BYEEEEE.” (This paraphrase aims to make the sentence more conversational and easier to read.)

However, Ezra didn’t just stop at that point. In another segment, he showcased further changes in his look by wearing a new ensemble. He lip-synched to a popular quote from the Netflix series focused on Anna, Inventing Anna, before the video shifted to him, dressed up, strutting down the street.

The dialogue from Julia Garner’s character in the series was, “What is your reason for dressing that way?” However, a more polite and less offensive paraphrase could be, “Could you tell me why you chose to dress as you are today?” or simply, “I noticed your outfit, can you share what you’re wearing?” The original dialogue seemed harsh and judgmental, which was not intended.

The professional dancer’s Halloween costume continues his trend of admiring Anna; earlier this month, he unveiled a fresh back tattoo inspired by one of Anna’s famous lines.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’d rephrase that sentence like this: “On my left upper back, there’s a tiny script tattoo subtly saying ‘Nothing,’ a subtle reference to the present moment and the number 33, symbolizing the current season.

In true Anna fashion, she commented her approval with a one word response, “Exactly.”
