DWTS’ Ilona Maher & Alan Bersten React to Fans Hoping for a Romance

As a former Bachelorette contestant and now a reality TV star, Jenn has already shown us her ability to dance around obstacles and find love. But partnering with Sasha Farber in Dancing With The Stars was no walk in the park! Jenn’s life experience has certainly prepared her for the challenges of this competition – after all, she survived 16 rose ceremonies!

Could Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten be quick stepping into each other’s hearts?

Fans of “Dancing With the Stars” are eagerly anticipating that the Olympic athlete and the 30-year-old professional dancer might deepen their bond beyond the dance floor. Their stellar performances on the dance floor and social media have sparked speculation about whether they could be the next couple to extend their partnership off the dance floor.

In her conversation with TopMob News correspondent Will Marfuggi following the November 12th episode of Dancing with the Stars, Ilona expressed her continued enthusiasm by saying, “We can see this everywhere, and I encourage others to keep doing it. We genuinely enjoy it.” She further added, “If ‘ship’ refers to a relationship, then we are inseparable. I believe that him and I have an incredible connection, and we really enjoy spending time together.

The 28-year-old Olympic athlete openly stated that Alan serves as both a fervent supporter and collaborator for her, mirroring the dynamics within her U.S.A. rugby team.

She went on to say, “It’s as if my teammate is more than just a colleague,” she expressed. “I truly cherish my teammates, and I feel the same about him. I believe we’re crafting something truly special here.” (Don’t forget to catch Ilona and the DWTS cast on TopMob News tonight Nov. 13 at 11 p.m.)

Regarding our connection that extends beyond the ABC show, Ilona stated, “I truly hope it endures; time will tell, it might be the final conversation we have following this.

To clarify they’re just joking, Alan added, “Nope, not happening.” Indicating a possible location, he humorously commented, “Perhaps on podcasts!

The dynamic duo had a night of double dances during the milestone 500th show. First they paid tribute to season 25’s duo Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold with a quickstep set to Pharell Williams ’ “Chuck Berry” that ended with Ilona lifting Alan above her shoulders.

Next, the competitors embarked on their initial Instant Dance challenge. They were provided with a specific dance style (Cha Cha) and tune (“DaDip” by Freak Nasty), and had only a limited amount of time to devise a dance routine.

In conclusion, their performance earned a total score of 52 points and qualified others for the semifinals, while unfortunately Dwight Howard and Daniella Karagach were the ones eliminated.

The exceptional pair danced twice during their remarkable 500th performance. Initially, they honored the dance couple from season 25, Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold, by performing a quickstep choreographed to “Chuck Berry” by Pharrell Williams. This act culminated with Ilona lifting Alan above her shoulders at the end.

Subsequently, the initial Instant Dance contest took place, in which teams were tasked with selecting a dance style (Cha Cha) and song (“DaDip” by Freak Nasty) within limited time to choreograph their performance.

In summary, their performance earned them a total score of 52 points, placing them short of reaching the semifinals. Regrettably, Dwight Howard and Daniella Karagach were the ones who had to leave the competition.

All in all, it was a night of celebration that Ilona and Alan got to share together.

Ilona shared with TopMob News that she and her family, including her sisters, have been avid fans of the show since its early seasons. “I’ve been along for the ride since the beginning,” she said. “When I first watched the show, I never dreamt I’d be a part of it; I simply enjoyed it because I was captivated by it. So, to be here for such a significant moment is truly an honor. And to be here with a partner like this, it’s an even greater privilege.

And for dance pro Alan, the sentiment is the same.

He commented, “Truly, it’s quite extraordinary,” he said. “I’ve been captivated by the series long before joining it. In just a week, we create something truly amazing—the celebrities deserve more recognition. You have to understand, it’s not simple; it’s one of the most fulfilling shows on TV.
