Sheinelle Jones’s TV family has her back.
In the midst of a multi-month hiatus taken by the Today cohost, her fellow team member Dylan Dreyer gave an insight into her present condition.
The meteorologist informed TopMob News exclusively at the 2025 Kentucky Derby in Louisville, Ky., on May 3 that she is coping relatively well. She’s managing to keep going. We’re sending our prayers to her and her family. You understand, she’s currently facing a challenging period with her loved ones.
Additionally, during her absence, Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, and Al Roker have been closely monitoring Sheinelle’s situation.
Dylan added, “We communicate with her daily. A member of our group speaks with her each day, and we stand ready to offer her assistance as soon as she is able to reconnect with us.
47-year-old Sheinelle recently went off the air in December, causing some viewers of Today to worry about her location. However, she reassured her adoring fans by posting a message on social media, explaining the reason for her recent absence.
She expressed her gratitude in an Instagram post from January to those who reached out while she was away from the show. She wanted to let everyone know that she’s dealing with a personal family health issue at the moment. She realizes how fortunate she is to have not only the support of her Today Show team, but also from all of you.
She continued, “Your kindness means so much to me. I’ll see you soon.”
At that moment, Craig and Savannah expressed their sympathy for Sheinelle on the air, saying to Today’s audience, “Many of you have been inquiring about Sheinelle and feeling her absence, and we do as well.
