Dylan O’Brien’s sibling is speaking out.
Following the 2024 online reshare of an interview with the Teen Wolf star, where Dylan expressed gratitude for having trans individuals like his younger sibling Julz O’Brien in his life, it was subsequently stated that there has been no communication from Dylan for more than a year.
Julz commented, ‘He failed to visit when I had top surgery,’ on a May 1 Instagram post. ‘He didn’t send birthday greetings last week either. However, it’s good that I could enrich his life experiences and make the world appreciate him even more.’
In an interview with Vulture last January, 33-year-old Dylan shared that having queer individuals in his life significantly influenced not just his everyday experiences but also his portrayal of a character in the film “Ponyboi,” where River Gallo plays a gender-nonconforming role.
Dylan clarified, “My sibling identifies as trans and nonbinary. In my circle of friends, there are also individuals who identify as queer. I feel incredibly fortunate because their presence adds such richness to my understanding of life.
Upon listening to Dylan’s remarks in the interview, Gallo exclaimed enthusiastically, “He truly embodies what many men ought to be.
In a subsequent remark, Julz, aged 35, criticized Dylan, describing them as non-binary while highlighting the fact that they identify as transmasculine.
TopMob News has attempted to contact representatives for Dylan concerning his sibling’s latest remarks, however, we haven’t received a response as of now.
Following Dylan’s confession that he was “very undereducated” regarding the subjects addressed in the movie “Ponyboi”, which premiered in cinemas last January, Julz later commented on the situation.
In an interview with Adobe, Dylan expressed that it was a deeply insightful encounter for him. He also mentioned affectionately about Gallo, “Now, they’re someone who has become incredibly dear to me. I know they’ll be a cherished friend of mine for the remainder of my life.
Dylan, who doesn’t maintain public social media accounts, was last showcased on Julz’s Instagram as far back as 2023, and was given a birthday acknowledgment by them in the previous year.
“Happy Birthday, Dyl!!” Julz wrote at the time. “Love you so much.”
