As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must admit that the news about Dynasty Warriors: Origins has filled me with a sense of nostalgic excitement. The series was one of my favorites back in the day, and the focus on tactical action in this new iteration is music to my ears.
As a fervent admirer, I’m thrilled about the imminent arrival of “Dynasty Warrior: Origins.” This latest installment seems to be a promising revival of Koei Tecmo’s action series, and it’s largely due to its emphasis on tactical action over some recent entries that we find this renewed excitement. In line with our expectations, the developers at Omega Force have made it clear that revisiting that style of gameplay was a key priority for this game.
In a conversation with The Gamer, series producer Tomkohiko Sho shared that the main goal for Dynasty Warriors: Origins is to return to foundational tactics and action-oriented gameplay, which has been given less emphasis in more recent installments.
Following the launch of “Dynasty Warriors 9”, there were numerous conversations about the direction and future of the “Dynasty Warriors” series, as expressed by Sho. Since the initial game in the current “Dynasty Warriors” series, specifically “Dynasty Warriors 2”, the focus has been on tactical action. Their aim is to fully showcase this aspect, which is a significant feature of the series. Over the past ten years, particularly since “Dynasty Warriors 9” and more recent games, the tactical element may have taken a back seat, being more action-oriented.
Indeed, adopting a fundamental approach doesn’t automatically imply a scaled-down experience.
