EA Sports FC 25 Adds Duplicate Storage, More Evolutions to Ultimate Team

As a long-time gamer and avid fan of the FIFA series, I must admit, the reveal of EA Sports FC 25 didn’t exactly set my world on fire. But, after attending the recent developer presentation and speaking with some of the team behind the game, I’m genuinely excited about the updates coming to Ultimate Team (FUT).

Today, Electronic Arts’ developers unveiled “EA Sports FC 2025” version. Although the unveiling of the latest installment in their annual franchise may not be groundbreaking news, there are some notable enhancements to the widely-loved Ultimate Team mode. In an exclusive interview with ComicBook, a few developers from EA Sports shared insights on several adjustments coming to FUT this year. While FUT isn’t undergoing a complete overhaul, these significant changes will significantly impact the game mode in “EA Sports FC 2025.”

In their presentation, the team revealed that a long-awaited Untradeable Duplicate Storage feature is coming to Ultimate Team. EA Sports FC 25 users have been requesting this for years, and the anticipation was high during the preview event as the developers made the announcement. With this new feature, players can now save up to 100 of their Untradeable Duplicates. This significantly simplifies completing SBCs and prevents the frustration of discarding valuable high-rated cards without any return. However, there’s more to it than just that.

The team is now integrating Rush into Ultimate Team, providing an exciting and quick option for players to join matches with their friends. According to Game Director Richard Walz, “I’m thrilled that we can enjoy Ultimate Team in a social setting this year.” With the capability to play using your own cards alongside your friends, you can impress them while having fun against other opponents in 4v4 gameplay. Walz also clarified that Rush mode will include its unique matchmaking mechanism. This system considers both you and your team, as well as the opponents’ squads, to create a fair matchup. Distinct from Rivals and Friendlies, this new feature aims to enhance the gaming experience by clearly distinguishing between the modes and focusing the primary competition in Rivals.

As an avid fan, I’m excited to share that Karthik Venkateshan, the producer of Rush, announced that each player in the game can simultaneously work on their individual Evolutions. Although we’re restricted to only one Evolution in the standard 11v11 matches, the Rush mode allows everyone to progress towards Evolution objectives with fewer pressures. Moreover, Walz revealed that the team is making efforts to expand the accessibility of Evolutions for a broader range of players and is planning to release new Evolutions frequently throughout the year.

I’m thrilled to share the news that EA Sports has announced a significant update to the Season Pass in Ultimate Team. From now on, I can earn Experience Points (XP) not just in Ultimate Team, but also in Clubs and Career Mode. This means I no longer have to worry about missing out on XP if I prefer playing offline modes.

The new version of EA Sports Football (Soccer) 25, which is set to be released, is coming out on September 27th for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC users. By opting for the Ultimate Edition, you’ll enjoy a head start with early access starting from September 20th.
