Early Access Deadlock Tier List

Early Access Deadlock Tier List

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen it all – from the rise and fall of gaming giants to the emergence of new, innovative titles that shake the very foundations of the gaming world. Deadlock, Valve’s latest hero shooter in early access, is no exception. I’ve had the pleasure (and occasional frustration) of playing this game for a few weeks now, and I must say, it has left quite an impression on me.

Time for our Deadlock Tier List, seeing as many are looking for their new main.

Valve’s latest hero shooter has been enjoying a 90k current player base while in early access.

But what heroes are top-tier right now, and what makes them great?

Deadlock Tier List

Gabe Newell’s recently released Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) shooter game has garnered significant attention on Steam. Despite still being in its early stages, over 89,000 active players are currently enjoying the game!

Also, keep in mind that the likes of Concord and even Dustborn have yet to hit a thousand!

Needless to say, things are looking up for the upcoming official release of the game.

After spending some quality time with it over the past few weeks, I’m ready to share my Deadlock Tier List! Just a heads-up: As this game is currently in Alpha, things are likely to shift quite a bit down the line.

Hopefully not too much, because I like Pocket as he is now.

But here is a quick rundown:

TierCharacter
S-TierPocket, Dynamo, Shiv, Warden, Ivy
A-TierYamato, Seven, Infernus, Mo & Krill, Grey Talon, Abrams, Lady Geist
B-TierBebop, McGinnis, Haze, Vindicta, Wraith, Paradox, Lash, Kelvin
C-TierViscous

S Tier

Initially, for the top-notch category, I’d opt for some unconventional choices. Shiv and Pocket may not always be the ideal picks due to their performance inconsistencies. Yet, this applies to most team members; what I imply is that when they deliver, they truly shine.

Warden and Ivy, using their versatile abilities, seamlessly blend into any group. Notably, Wardens have the potential to decisively clinch a game on their own.

Shiv and Pocket are characters with assassin roles. They might not initially grab attention, but when skillfully utilized, their kill records will be consistently high on the scoreboard. Compared to Shiv, Pocket is slightly more manageable, which means there’s a good chance he’ll earn some accolades in the future.

For a hassle-free gaming experience, I’d confidently recommend Warden in this Deadlock Tier List. He’s a dominating force, often coming out on top in one-on-one and two-on-one battles.

As a diehard fan, I’d say if I draft someone from the top-tier roster, they’re bound to fit right in with the squad. However, if Shiv or a pocket player has already been chosen, then things might get a bit tricky!

Additionally, there’s the top-notch category, which, though I haven’t witnessed any direct confrontations yet, has a great deal of untapped potential. Characters like Grey Talon and Infernus, particularly, have received recent enhancements that could make them formidable opponents.

In essence, their main weakness lies in being vulnerable when opponents concentrate their attacks on them. However, it’s worth noting that I hold a preference for Yamato in this Deadlock Tier List, as she possesses significant strength, but her effectiveness is highly dependent on the situation, much like Yasuo in League of Legends.

Great potential, but equally enough that can go wrong due to high execution. Seven is just an easy pickup and addition to the team. Easily recommended for this Deadlock Tier List.

Additionally, Mo Kill and Abrams can be excellent additions to a diverse squad. They can excel in appropriate situations when the player has good situational awareness. While I haven’t encountered many players using Mo Kill or Abrams, those I’ve seen certainly demonstrated a knack for them.

Generally, standout choices individually tend to strengthen a piece significantly. It’s unusual to encounter anyone who would object to selecting any of these options.

B-tier Deadlock Tier List Mid-Picks

Sure thing!

Haze is cool-looking and built for roaming, but always seems to get caught out. Sometimes I would get lucky with a wandering enemy, but she is just as likely to trip up as they would. Also, teamfights with her are not the best, given her health.

But this Deadlock Tier List may surprise you by putting Vindictta so low. However, although I love her moves and gunplay, she just has no health. You really have to play her as far back as possible; otherwise, she gets slapped.

Wraith and Paradox struggle when other heroes excel at their roles. However, Paradox can hold its own during team battles. To be frank, characters like Guinness, Lash, and Kevlin seem to require my specific touch. Lash, for instance, is quite specialized and requires a near-perfect performance to be effective; otherwise, he underperforms significantly. Kevlin was decent initially but received severe nerfs. As for Guinness, she’s just average with her turrets. She can control the pause lane and harass in team fights, but other than that, she’s rather dull.

C tier

And filling in the last spot on this Deadlock Tier List is Viscous. It’s going to be real if you pick him up. You are trolling. He takes far too long to turn on in the late game and just makes no impact unless you are already steam rolling.

But his ult is really good; however, it is not worth the wait, and his laning phase is just bad. Every time I saw someone use him, they would just feed the other team. Although I like Blubber as much as the next guy, he is not worth the pick right now.

Perhaps by enhancing his attributes slightly, there might be room for improvement, yet at the moment, choosing him may invite some constructive criticism from me!
