EastEnders airs Linda twist as Dean’s trial continues in early iPlayer release

As a seasoned EastEnders viewer, having witnessed the tumultuous lives of the residents of Walford for more years than I care to count, I must say that this week has been nothing short of dramatic. The trial of Dean Wicks has kept me on the edge of my seat and left me with a sense of anticipation that only EastEnders can deliver.

As a long-time fan of EastEnders, I can’t help but feel a sense of anticipation and satisfaction as we approach this momentous week. For years, I have watched Dean Wicks (portrayed by Matt Di Angelo) cause chaos and destruction in the lives of the residents of Albert Square, and it seems that finally justice will be served. As someone who has seen my fair share of crime and punishment in real life, I can’t help but feel a sense of vindication as I see this character get his comeuppance. It’s not often that TV shows get things right, but EastEnders has always been one of the few exceptions, and I have faith that they will handle Dean Wicks’ arrest and imprisonment in a way that is both realistic and satisfying for fans like me. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

He’s on trial for Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) murder, but there’s a long way to go before justice is served (not that he killed Keanu – we’re just desperate to see him in jail for previously raping Linda (Kellie Bright)).

However, before things can become tense, a court trial needs to take place first, given that The Six are scheduled to testify and provide statements. As a result, this week promises to be an exciting one.

On the very first day of our movie project, I, a die-hard cinephile, took the lead as Stacey did, delivering her performance flawlessly. She stayed true to the narrative we’d all collectively decided upon – the compelling tale of The Six.

It wasn’t the case for Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean); instead, she received strong support from her defense attorney.

In awkward situations, the defense attempted to paint her as a known liar, arguing that her testimony should be disregarded.

As a follower, I found myself questioning her feelings for Keanu when I learned that she had been hiding a major secret about having a baby before our wedding.

Not only did he make the situation worse, but he also slandered her by portraying her as overly intimate, mentioning that she had four spouses before Keanu, among them brothers Phil and Grant.

Sharon, quite logically, began to grow irritated and annoyed by the sexist remarks, so she retaliated sharply.

Yet, as she transformed into the spirited Sharon we’ve come to adore, she lost her temper on more than one occasion with the judge – a figure who was unwilling to tolerate such behavior.

He decided to hold her under contempt of court and got the police to take her away.

As she was wrestling with the guards outside the court, Linda arrived for her big moment.

Despite feeling jittery throughout the day, she eventually mustered the bravery to fulfill her obligation for The Six. However, upon laying eyes on Sharon, she started to tremble with fear.

Sharon begged her to stay strong and not let Dean’s lawyer to get to her.

But it was too late – that setback was all Linda needed to run away, saying sorry.

Will she return for her time in court? Or are The Six in serious trouble now?

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One and from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
