Indeed, I couldn’t help but be moved when Nicola confessed that he was Barney’s father. The proof was irrefutable, leaving him no choice but to acknowledge the truth. Yet, in a heartfelt plea, he asked Zack for discretion, explaining that Teddy had been an integral part of Barney’s life all along, making him his true father in every sense.

Zack couldn’t let it go though, and took to drink to drown his sorrows.

Later on, he found himself sharing his secret with Ruby (Louisa Lytton). She listened sympathetically as he revealed he had another child, but declined to ask for more information about the matter.

Despite showing kindness towards him following Martin’s demise, Zack misunderstood her friendly gestures and attempted to kiss her, an action she declined.

In my personal opinion, after another attempt, I found myself at the club, confronting Nicola with a stark choice: reveal the truth to Barney, or I would spill the beans to Teddy.

This way, it maintains the tension and drama while using first-person narrative as a movie critic would.

In the hospital, Nicola kept a vigil over her awakened son, but just as she was about to converse with him, he unexpectedly blurts out that Sharon had been with Grant (Ross Kemp) the previous day, leaving Nicola unsure of how to handle this newfound knowledge.

Now that Nicola has taken responsibility for solving his problem and has all the resources at her disposal, what strategy will she employ with the information to ensure Zack remains silent?
