EastEnders confirms final scenes for Dean Wicks as Matt Di Angelo exits

As a long-time EastEnders fan, I must say that watching Matt Di Angelo‘s departure as Dean Wicks was quite a spectacle! The character has been a staple of the show for years, and his exit was nothing short of dramatic. It was fascinating to see how the trial unfolded, with unexpected twists and turns that kept viewers on the edge of their seats.

As a dedicated fan, I’m sharing the news that Matt Di Angelo has said goodbye to EastEnders. The BBC soap saw him off with a touching tribute video, signifying the conclusion of his tenure as Dean Wicks

As a devoted cinephile, I’m sharing my observation from the footage: “Here we are, capturing Dean’s last scene ever. Wrapped up, signed off, and delivered to the audience. The job is complete.”

At the end of the shoot, boss Chris Clenshaw addressed the room, expressing his gratitude by saying, “I’d like to extend a massive, massive thank you to Matt for creating one of the most detestable characters, one of the most loathed figures in Britain and on British television.”

“Thank you for coming back and playing out this next chapter of Dean’s story.”

However, while this may put an end to Dean’s reign of terror across Walford, Clenshaw acknowledged that “this won’t be the last we ever see of Dean”.

He found it to be true: “You’ve been a pleasure to collaborate with, and your positive attitude towards the role really stands out. We truly appreciate your contributions.”

Over the past seven days, the audience has witnessed the culmination of Dean’s storyline on Albert Square, as he stood trial for the alleged murder of Keanu Taylor

As it turned out, the case grew far more intricate than initially expected due to Dean confessing to the rape of Linda (Kellie Bright). Consequently, the trial might need to be dropped based on the available evidence

In the closing scene with Dean and Linda, Dean was heard angrily calling out to the police officers: “Leave me alone! Leave me alone!” as Linda departed

Di Angelo expressed gratitude by saying: “I truly appreciate all the hard work each of you has put in. Despite the lengthy days, you’ve shown great professionalism and camaraderie. So, thank you for your assistance, and know that I am genuinely grateful. Many thanks.”

Addressing the camera individually, he commented: “It’s completed. He’s gone now. Many of you might feel relief. He was enjoyable to work with, and this is a fantastic workplace. I truly care for each one of you.”

“Thank you for having me and until the next time?! Bye!”
