EastEnders confirms no early release episodes in anniversary week

Instead of regularly streaming EastEnders episodes on BBC iPlayer, there might be a minor shift in strategies for the intense and dramatic 40th anniversary week.

Beginning on Monday, 17th February, every episode is set to debut concurrently on both BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 7:30 PM. There won’t be any early release of episodes on streaming services before this scheduled time.

To mark our 40th milestone, I’m thrilled to share that this coming Wednesday, 19th February, we’ll be airing a special, one-hour episode in honor of our anniversary. The celebration doesn’t stop there! On Thursday, 20th February, get ready for a live, unforgettable episode that you won’t want to miss.

As a devoted soap opera fan, I can hardly contain my excitement for this week’s climax on EastEnders! Not only will Thursday’s episodes unveil who Denise Fox (Diane Parish) ultimately chooses, but it promises to wrap up an intense and dramatic seven days in the heart of Walford.

Furthermore, there is more anniversary content to come, as two heartwarming documentaries are planned to reminisce fans with memories of the past.

On Monday, February 17th at 8 pm, a one-hour retrospective documentary titled “EastEnders: 40 Years on the Square” will debut on BBC One and iPlayer. The program will be hosted by Ross Kemp, who will reminisce about some of the soap’s most memorable moments with the assistance of several notable cast members from both past and present.

On Tuesday, 18th February, at 8 pm, catch “EastEnders Revealed: The Lock In” exclusively on BBC Three. This special episode will delve into the storylines of the anniversary special, such as Denise Fox’s love triangle and the identity of Cindy Beale’s attacker, with Joe Swash providing insights.
