EastEnders’ Denise Fox makes big confession in early iPlayer release

As an avid soap opera enthusiast who has seen more twists and turns than a rollercoaster ride, I must say EastEnders never fails to deliver the drama! The latest episode was a whirlwind of emotions, with Denise Fox‘s revelation about the club crush being the cherry on top.

⚠️ Note: The following information reveals plot details from the EastEnders episode scheduled for airing on Monday, 14th October, available on BBC iPlayer and BBC One. Proceed with caution if you wish to avoid spoilers!

In the most recent episode of EastEnders, Denise Fox (previously known as Diane Parish) unveiled the real story behind her feelings for the club, while the afflicted individuals endured the persisting effects of their wounds.

After staying overnight with her estranged husband, Jack Branning (played by Scott Maslen), Denise discovered it wasn’t easy to slip away unnoticed from their home.

Jack prepared her morning meal and mentioned that they hadn’t filed for the final decree of divorce yet. Perhaps it was worth reconsidering their marriage, he suggested.

However, following Jack’s revelation that all official proof concerning the events at Peggy’s was irreversibly tainted, Denise departed, encounteering her guilt-ridden daughter Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams) directly.

Chelsea advised Denise to keep a distance from Jack, understanding that Denise might eventually confess everything to him prematurely.

A frustrated Denise explained that the footage had been corrupted, and so Chelsea was off the hook.

As a film enthusiast, I found myself in a peculiar dilemma, much like my character in a movie. My sister Kim, blissfully unaware of the world, was all for the reconciliation between me and Jack. Meanwhile, my heart ached as Denise wrestled with the decision: should she finalize our divorce or give our relationship another chance?

During a physiotherapy appointment, Amy Mitchell, Jack’s daughter (played by Ellie Dadd), found it challenging to advance in her recovery, leading to an argument with her older sister Penny Branning (portrayed by Kitty Castledale). This conflict stemmed from the belief held by Amy, Jack, and Amy herself that Penny was responsible for the accident.

In simpler terms, during the event, Jack’s niece Lauren Branning (played by Jacqueline Jossa) was similarly affected by the pain, whereas Penny began arranging a trip back to Paris, deeply saddened as she couldn’t clear her name of the accusations.

Penny went to see her father and sister to bid them farewell, but another disagreement ensued. In this situation, Denise stepped in to support Penny.

But as the situation escalated, Denise could take no more.

It’s possible that Jack and Penny will be taken aback or surprised by the revelation, as she stopped the fight in its tracks by announcing that Chelsea was accountable for the crowd surge at Peggy’s.

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One and from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
