As a seasoned critic with over three decades of observing the tumultuous world of soap operas under my belt, I must say that today’s episode of EastEnders (23rd October 2024) was a stark reminder of the darker side of human nature. The harrowing scenes featuring Tommy Moon’s (played by Sonny Kendall) escalating aggression left me with a heavy heart.


In today’s EastEnders on the 23rd of October, 2024, there were distressing moments as Tommy Moon (portrayed by Sonny Kendall) lost control over his actions once more.

Following the outburst directed towards Freddie, Jean, Alfie became noticeably worried about Tommy’s emotional state and decided to extend a helping hand to Kat by offering comfort.

Kat appeared deeply engrossed in the current circumstances, masking her worry for Tommy while assuring everyone that this is merely a temporary stage he’s experiencing.

However, Alfie and Jean felt uncertain, and upon their return to the apartment, they chanced upon Tommy arguing loudly with Bert and Ernie, who were huddled timidly on the couch.

In that particular instance, Alfie attempted to assert control, yet Tommy, unwilling to heed his words, left the room abruptly.

Jean tended to the children, inquiring about the source of Tommy’s injuries so she could help alleviate their pain. However, she felt troubled upon noticing a collection of bruises on his arm, which led her to suspect that he may have been the cause.
