However, the revelation that Roman was seriously ill in the hospital shattered his recently discovered world for him yesterday.
Today, Martin encountered his son for the first time, yet it was a disheartening scene as Roman lay asleep, connected to assorted medical equipment.
Martin conversed with him as Ruby and Stacey (Lacey Turner) stepped out for coffee, yet Martin’s gaze was fixed on a screen displaying details about Roman’s health status.
Meanwhile, Martin stealthily approached the document where he discovered that Roman had unknowingly overdosed on paracetamol, leading to critical liver failure.
Facing off with Ruby, Martin was boiling with anger, yet Ruby asserted that she had acted correctly and had previously contacted social services regarding the matter. She expressed deep regret, as no one endures the aftermath of the incident more than herself.
At the hospital, Martin agreed to no more lying and that he would move on.
However, upon reaching home, it was evident he hadn’t moved on yet. In a private conversation with Stacey, he asserted his determination to contest for the custody of Roman.
