EastEnders spoilers as Nicola Mitchell plots to sabotage Teddy Mitchell and Sharon Watts romance

As a long-time EastEnders viewer with a soft spot for the Mitchell family, I must say this upcoming week promises to be quite the rollercoaster ride! The tangled web of relationships between Nicola, Teddy, Sharon, and Phil is enough to give even the calmest of spectators a headache.

Next week on EastEnders, Laura Doddington’s character, Nicola Mitchell, is set on preventing the budding romance between her ex-husband Teddy, played by Roland Manookian, and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean). In simpler terms, Nicola intends to put a stop to Teddy and Sharon’s relationship in the upcoming EastEnders episode.

Following their shared overnight stay, Sharon and Teddy choose to make their union known – however, Nicola swiftly attempts to provoke Sharon’s former partner, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), in an effort to disrupt their relationship.

Phil isn’t interested, while Teddy warns Nicola not to pull any more stunts.

Upon my encounter with Phil and the startling revelation that ensued, I found myself determined to exploit this secret knowledge in an attempt to subtly sway Sharon’s trust in Teddy, aiming to create a rift between them.

In a heart-wrenching moment, Nicola reveals to Teddy that Sharon and Phil shared a kiss in the past. She also discloses that Sharon has been deceiving him by implying they are still apart, when in truth, she’s reconciled with Phil!

After this bombshell, Nicola insists to Teddy that she’s a changed woman, and she wants him back.

Meanwhile, Nicola continues to try and use Phil to her advantage, leaving Sharon furious.

Not long after, Sharon and Phil uncover Nicola’s deceitful plans in full view of Teddy and their wider family, who are currently celebrating the prosperity of Nicola and her son Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) with their recently rebranded bar, previously known as Peggy’s.

After this encounter, Nicola’s future direction is uncertain, leaving Phil with a stronger sense of solitude.

Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) finds that Phil is unable to share his feelings of solitude when they meet.

Eventually, Teddy turns to his half-brother, Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick), for guidance on mending his relationship with Phil.

When Teddy extends an invitation for Christmas, Phil reluctantly consents to join. However, it’s clear that Phil isn’t enthusiastic about the plan, so we wonder how he’ll manage as his relatives extend their warmth.

Will Teddy and Sharon continue to grow stronger, or could Nicola’s interfering potentially disrupt their relationship?

EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday 9th December 2024.
