As a longtime viewer of EastEnders, I must admit that the return of Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) has me both intrigued and a tad apprehensive. Having followed her tumultuous journey since her arrival on the square, I can’t help but remember the chilling moments when she attempted to take Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) life after learning about Keanu’s (Danny Walters) death.
It appears that we’ll be seeing more of Bernie Taylor (played by Clair Norris) on EastEnders, according to recent spoilers, as her return to the show is set for November.
In September, Bernie made a move from Walford to Germany, following the discovery that Linda Carter (played by Kellie Bright) had taken the life of Bernie’s brother, Keanu (portrayed by Danny Walters).
Without Bernie around, Linda was advised against admitting her involvement to the authorities, yet she chose to do so regardless, feeling this was the sole means for her to maintain a clear conscience.
Initially, my entrance into the cinematic world of “The Six” went unacknowledged, dismissed as I was. However, little did they know that the cunning Nish Panesar, masterfully portrayed by Navin Chowdhry, had been lurking in the shadows, biding his time.
On Christmas, the police questioned the women again regarding the incident, as Linda’s fingermarks were discovered on the cloth covering the deceased’s body.
Fresh spoilers hint that the hidden truth of The Six may encounter a fresh obstacle in the upcoming fortnight.
On Monday, 11th November, Bernie is set to reappear, and it’s expected that by the close of the week, she will express certain requirements or requests. It seems she may be looking for something from Linda and her associates.
It’s fair to assume that The Six are quite apprehensive. After all, Bernie attempted to harm Linda following the revelation of the truth behind Keanu’s demise.
Besides Bernie, it’s clear that Sharon (Letitia Dean), Suki (Balvinder Sopal), Denise (Diane Parish), Stacey (Lacey Turner), and Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) all saw the incident, which indicates she won’t be easily persuaded.
Instead of issuing an ultimatum for silence, could Bernie instead choose to inform the authorities about all aspects of Keanu’s situation?
Regardless of what’s coming up, we anticipate a stellar show by the returning star, Norris, with the hope that Bernie will capture the spotlight again.
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One and from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
