EastEnders spoilers: Denise issues big reality check to Chelsea as Amy returns from hospital

As a long-time EastEnders fan, I must say that the recent development involving Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) has left me both concerned and intrigued. The consequences of her actions at Peggy’s bar are far more severe than she could have ever imagined, and it’s heartbreaking to see the impact on Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) and Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).

In forthcoming episodes of EastEnders, Chelsea Fox, portrayed by Zaraah Abrahams, will confront the disastrous consequences of her actions when the aftermath of the incident at Peggy’s bar unfolds.

Realizing that increasing the number of tickets for carnival night resulted in the club surpassing its maximum capacity, Chelsea ultimately admitted the truth to her mother, Denise Fox (Diane Parish).

In simpler terms, Chelsea has permitted bar manager Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) to shoulder the blame, which is placing immense strain on her relationship with dad Jack Branning (Scott Maslen). This tension comes as his daughter Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd), who was injured, slowly recovers.

In seven days, it’s comforting news for Jack that Amy will leave the hospital. However, the teenager finds it challenging to manage both the physical and emotional impact of her wounds.

Denise attempts to comfort Amy and Jack by saying things will turn out alright, yet she’s deeply troubled by the secret of Chelsea’s part in it.

Chelsea feels happy upon learning from Denise that Amy is returning home, yet Denise swiftly puts Amy’s return into perspective by disclosing the magnitude of Amy’s suffering and the hardships faced by her (Amy) and Jack as a result of Chelsea’s imprudent decision made that evening.

Later, Chelsea and Denise join the Brannings at The Queen Vic for a welcome home drink for Amy.

However, Amy’s trauma makes it difficult for her to attend, causing Chelsea to treat her by buying rounds of drinks and lavishing her with presents instead.

Amy feels encouraged, but Denise isn’t pleased as Chelsea seems excessively trying to hide something she feels guilty about.

As the week progresses, Jack shares with Amy that the authorities may want to question her regarding the incident involving the crush. Moreover, when Jack’s son Ricky Branning (played by Frankie Day) inquires if Penny could face prison time, Jack doesn’t dismiss the idea outright.

Chelsea is deeply troubled and can’t help but worry about an apparently irritated Amy. After Chelsea manages to convince Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) to see Amy, Jack shares that the police tech team are diligently working on restoring the corrupted club surveillance footage, implying that the truth regarding the incident will soon be unveiled.

Will Chelsea’s actions come to light, sending her to jail?

EastEnders airs these scenes from Tuesday 10th September 2024.
