The iconic character from EastEnders, Ross Kemp, has previously hosted Bridge of Lies. Now, it appears that Grant Mitchell, another well-known figure from Albert Square, will be joined by additional favorites for a special Celebrity edition of this game show, which is part of the soap’s 40th anniversary festivities.
The episode is scheduled to broadcast on BBC One at 7:50 pm this coming Saturday, February 15th. In the episode, four cast members who are currently part of the ‘who assaulted Cindy?’ plot will unite to create “the ultimate Queen Vic trivia team.” Their goal in this collaboration is to raise money for their respective charities by participating in a pub quiz together.
In this event, we have Adam Woodyatt, known for his long-standing role as Ian Beale on EastEnders, and Michelle Collins, who played his on-screen ex-wife Cindy Beale, participating. Also joining are Micah Balfour, famous from Junior Knight, and Molly Rainford, a former Strictly Come Dancing finalist who plays Anna Knight, Junior’s half-sister in the show.
As stated in the announcement, each round will consist of questions related to EastEnders. Kemp, who is returning to EastEnders for its anniversary and maintaining his observant role, will oversee the proceedings as usual.
During the upcoming anniversary week, Kemp finds himself particularly swamped since he’s planning to host a one-hour long documentary, EastEnders: 40 Years on the Square. This special program will broadcast on BBC One at 8pm on Monday, 17th February.
Simultaneously, it’s been disclosed that another beloved BBC series, Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, will feature an EastEnders crossover. In this unique episode, previous cast members Danielle Harold (Lola Pearce) and Max Bowden (Ben Mitchell) are leaving the bustle of Albert Square for a trip to the picturesque Cotswolds.
On Friday, 14th February, at 7pm on BBC Two, an episode unfolds where the duo competes against each other, digging up the most captivating artifacts and aiming to fetch the highest bids at auction.
