With its high-speed car chases, intense shootouts, and other action-packed sequences, it promises to deliver an adrenaline rush that’s hard to resist. Yet, what truly piques my interest is the heartfelt bond between Russell and Travis at the core of the story. From the trailer alone, it appears that Pete Davidson is relishing every moment on set, and I can’t help but be intrigued by the idea of him sharing the screen with a bona fide icon like himself.
Moreover, the dynamic between Davidson and his on-screen partner, Keke Palmer, seems ripe for laughter as well. All in all, this film looks set to provide an entertaining blend of humor, action, and character development that I can’t wait to experience.
The unique chemistry between Eddie Murphy and Pete Davidson, evident through Murphy’s amusingly weary looks towards Davidson, makes this film a compelling watch on its own. It’s truly impressive to observe the array of talent displayed here. Alongside the previously mentioned actors, Andrew Dice Clay, a seasoned comedian, Ismael Cruz Córdova from The Rings of Power, and professional wrestler Roman Reigns are also part of this diverse cast. However, there’s one more individual I must draw attention to.
Marshawn Lynch Deserves As Much Screentime As Possible
Absolutely! Former football star Marshawn Lynch is joining the cast of this Prime Video comedy, portraying a character within Zoe’s crew. For those who might be unfamiliar with Lynch’s acting career, he has graced our screens in films like “Freaky Tales” and “Love Hurts,” as well as television shows such as “Westworld” and “Lopez vs. Lopez.” While the productions he’s been involved with may differ in quality, Lynch consistently delivers a top-notch performance. In my opinion, his role as the blunt yet endearing Mr. G in “Bottoms” is particularly memorable, and I believe he manages to outshine many of the other actors in every scene he appears in.

Admittedly, his screen time appears limited from what we’ve seen in the trailer, which makes me a bit apprehensive about the scope of his role. However, if director Tim Story leverages this comedic talent effectively, I have no doubt he’ll deliver an unforgettable performance.
Eddie Murphy continues to be the main focus, as expected, and despite my apprehension about Murphy’s string of buddy comedies, I am optimistic that his latest movie will be enjoyable. The ensemble cast could even elevate the film. In particular, Pete Davidson’s offbeat humor is often amusing, and I have been eagerly awaiting more from Keke Palmer since her recent film “One of Them Days” premiered in theaters this year. Fingers crossed that Marshawn Lynch doesn’t become too overshadowed amidst all the chaos.
