In the initial movie version, it was Edward Fox who portrayed the character known as The Jackal, with a supporting ensemble featuring Michael Lonsdale, Alan Badel, Tony Britton, Cyril Cusack, and others.

The revamped series now aligns with current times, offering a broader perspective for audiences to delve deeper into the true nature of the Jackal. Redmayne refers to it as a “completely fresh work” that’s been reimagined and modernized, aimed at a new demographic.

As a dedicated film enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that alongside me, Redmayne will be gracing our screens. Lashana Lynch, famously known for her role in ‘Bob Marley: One Love’, will also star as a tenacious British intelligence officer with a mission to track down the elusive Jackal. This quest sets us on an epic chase that promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats!

According to the summary: “The Jackal, a solitary and extremely evasive hitman played by Eddie Redmayne, earns a living by executing contracts for top dollar.

However, after his recent murder, he encounters a relentless British intelligence agent named Lashana Lynch. This determined woman embarks on a pulse-pounding game of hide-and-seek with the Jackal throughout Europe, causing devastation wherever they go.

Additionally starring from Money Heist, Ursula Corbero, along with Charles Dance from The Crown, and Richard Dormer known for his role in Game of Thrones, among others.

Absolutely, Redmayne has garnered recognition through his performances in The Theory of Everything, The Danish Girl, the Fantastic Beasts series, and most recently, The Good Nurse on Netflix.

Likewise, Lynch, a BAFTA Award-winning actress, is recognized for her performances in movies such as No Time To Die, The Woman King, and Matilda the Musical.
