El Moussas in SHOCKING Therapy! Here’s Why

Heather Rae El Moussa and Tarek El Moussa are working on possibly flipping each other’s opinions.

The former star of “Selling Sunset” revealed that she and her spouse, who are currently parents to a 2-year-old named Tristan, are actively discussing the possibility of growing their family further by reaching a mutual decision.

Heather, who is 37 years old, shared on the Scrubbing In podcast with Becca Tilley and Tanya Rad on March 27th, “It was fascinating because when we initially met, we discussed not having kids of our own. For me, prior to meeting that special someone, I wasn’t someone eagerly awaiting parenthood. I wanted to get married, but I hadn’t found anyone I would want to start a family with.

As per Heather’s account, Tarek, who has children Taylor (age 14) and Brayden (age 9) with his ex-wife Christina Haack, initially agreed not to have more children. However, their perspective seems to have shifted following their marriage in 2021.

She said, ‘We developed a profound love for each other, and I felt such a strong bond with someone. I adored being a stepmother so much, and I was incredibly close to the children. I yearned to create my own family with him.’

Following several attempts with In-Vitro Fertilization, along with an unexpected natural pregnancy, they were blessed with a son. This experience made Heather consider expanding their family further, but her spouse is hesitant. Consequently, they are exploring opinions from outside sources.

The Flipping El Moussas star expressed that their son brings them immense joy, likening him to the essence of their life. However, they shared a contrasting view with their spouse regarding their future plans. Despite being deeply in love and having a strong marriage, this difference has caused some difficulty for them. To navigate through these challenges, they’ve turned to therapy to work through their differences.

She mentioned that they hadn’t attended therapy sessions together previously, something she regrets not starting earlier as she finds it incredibly beneficial for communication. However, around four months back, they began attending therapy sessions twice a month, not weekly, which aids them in discussing her feelings and working through their issues.

In the end, Heather anticipates that these sessions will influence her husband to make the decision to have another child more quickly, as opposed to postponing it for a longer period.

She clarified her age as being 37 years old, mentioning that she’ll be turning 38 this year. In essence, she feels that this is a crucial moment for her, somewhat like seizing the day, not because it’s impossible to have children at an older age, but because she doesn’t want to be 40 and still having babies due to the significant time and life commitment it requires. She considers her children as more important than herself, so she wants to go through this experience, regain her body, and it’s a challenging process for her.

On previous occasions, Heather has shared insights into her and her partner’s perspective on their family, and as far back as September, the stars of Flip Off hinted at the possibility of having another child in their family.

Heather shared with TopMob News that she needed to persuade her father on the matter, and Tarek mentioned uncertainty, implying that anything could potentially transpire.

Christina and Tarek welcomed their first child together on Sept. 22, 2010.

Ever since their split, I’ve found myself deeply invested in how they manage their shared journey as parents. Their little girl, she’s this old soul, you know? One moment she’ll engage in profound conversations about life that leave me amazed, and the next she’s back to being just a kid again. It’s a fascinating blend that Christina herself has described so beautifully.

She noted that Taylor’s most remarkable skill lies in her ability to initiate conversations with anyone, no matter the place. She described Taylor as lively, intelligent, sporty, joyful, and consistently unexpected.

Christina and Tarek welcomed their second child together on Aug. 20, 2015.

Apart from their eldest child Taylor, they’ve both been involved in raising their son Brayden following their divorce. In previous remarks, Tarek has referred to their son as a bundle of energy and a boy with the kindest soul and the most expansive heart.

Tarek expressed, “There’s no way to express just how radiant this child makes my days, but I consider myself incredibly fortunate each day to be his and Tay’s father. Watching him develop and mature brings me immeasurable joy, making me the proudest and happiest dad around.

Approximately one year following her separation with Tarek, Christina began dating Ant, an English television host, in October 2017. They made their relationship official in January 2018 – the same month as the finalization of Christina’s divorce from Tarek – and exchanged vows at a winter-themed wedding held at their Newport Beach, California residence on December 22, 2018.

In 2019, Christina and her partner Ant, who has a daughter Amelie and a son Archie with his ex-wife Louise Storey, welcomed their first child together, a son named Hudson.

In the realm of love and relationships, I found myself walking down the aisle less than two years prior to September 2020. However, by the grace of time, we made the difficult decision to part ways, announcing our separation in that very month. Nine months on from that pivotal moment, we formally ended our journey together through a divorce. It’s always a learning experience when chapters close, isn’t it?

Since the split, Ant has moved on with actress Renée Zellweger.

On September 6, 2019, Christina and Ant were blessed with the arrival of their newborn son. When he was born, the little one tipped the scales at 7 lbs 7 oz and stretched out to a length of 19.5 inches.

Despite both parties reaching an agreement on joint legal and physical custody of Hudson at the time of their divorce in June 2021, Ant subsequently filed for full custody in April 2022. According to court documents, he argued that his ex-spouse spends approximately “9 full days” with their child each month.

In the month of December that followed, court records show that the former partners came to a consensus where they would both maintain shared legal and physical custody of Hudson, as reported by TopMob News.

On the Fourth of July in 2019, Tarek encountered a star from the show “Selling Sunset” at a marina in Newport Beach, California. Their boats were parked side by side, and they both happened to be partying on them. Towards the end of July, pictures emerged showing them kissing on a yacht. In August, Tarek announced to TopMob News that they were indeed dating, using the term “girlfriend” for the first time since his previous relationship.

In July 2020, the pair got engaged, and exactly one year and three months later, on October 23, 2021, they officially tied the knot in a heartfelt outdoor wedding ceremony situated near Santa Barbara, California. During this special event, they exchanged their loving vows.

Heather frequently describes herself as Tarek’s “additional mother” to his two older children, Taylor and Brayden. In an interview with TopMob News, she stated, “I feel as if I already have two children of my own.” She continued, “I’m helping to raise Tarek’s children, and we share custody 50% of the time. I take great pride in being a fantastic bonus mom. I absolutely love those kids; they are like my own.

On January 31, 2023, Tarek and Heather joyfully welcomed their newborn son. At birth, he weighed a healthy 7 lbs 7 oz.

According to Heather, it was intended that he be called Tristan, but instead, his parents named him Tarek.

His middle name is a nod to Heather’s dad.

Following the end of her marriage to Ant, Christina started seeing Josh in the year 2021. They made their relationship known to the public in July of that same year, with Christina mentioning that they had been spending time together for several months prior.

As the star of Flip or Flop shared, she encountered Josh, a real estate professional, that spring when she was no longer in a state of anxiety or survival instinct, and had taken a break from social media, hired a spiritual guide, and ingested a Bufo toad for its psychoactive properties, all with the intention of rejuvenating her mind.

Christina and Josh got engaged that September and tied the knot on Oct. 6, 2021.

It wasn’t clear when they were getting married until Josh filed for divorce on July 15, 2024, stating that their differences couldn’t be resolved as the cause of the separation.

On the July 11, 2024 episode of Christina on the Coast, the process of remodeling her childhood home was revealed, a fact she had previously kept quite private. She had mostly shared only glimpses of her parents in their role as grandparents.

In 2019, she posted on Instagram saying that “our families gather – mine and Tarek’s – to enjoy watching Taylor perform at her school’s yearly Christmas show.

She noted that several individuals appreciated its kindness, mentioning that many divorced couples (such as Tarek’s parents) also practice this, finding it more convenient for everyone. Additionally, she shared that Taylor’s face brightens significantly whenever she sees us all together, cheering her on in unison.

Despite the fact that Josh gained notoriety through his relationship with Christina, it was actually his sisters who had become famous during the 2000s.

Stacie, affectionately known to some as “Stacie the Bartender,” was well-known for being the focus of Spencer Pratt’s advances during the show “The Hills.” She also made an appearance on “Vanderpump Rules,” particularly in season three, where she served as one of Scheana Shay’s bridesmaids.

Regarding Jessica, she was not only a former Playboy model but also starred in various reality shows. These include “The Hills,” “The Girls Next Door,” “Kendra,” “Kendra on Top,” and “Kendra Sells Hollywood.” Notably, she supported her close friend Kendra Wilkinson in these roles.

In simpler terms, Angelique – Tarek’s older sister – owns Latitude 33 Hair Artistry in Anaheim, California. Back in 2014, she bought one of the homes that Tarek and Christina had flipped as part of their TV show “Flip or Flop.” In 2019, Angelique collaborated with her HGTV co-host brother on a digital series.

Tarek El Moussa’s biological mother, Dominique, is no longer with his father, whose identity has not been disclosed in public. However, Dominique is currently married to Robert, who refers to her as “my life’s love” on Instagram.

Tarek openly acknowledged his father’s milestone birthday in a Facebook post from November 2017, even though he has not traditionally used the family name.

The bond between a parent, especially a father, and their kids is truly valuable. I was fortunate enough to have a nurturing and inspiring father who instilled in me the confidence that I could achieve great things. This sentiment is reflected in the photo he shared during our family’s birthday celebration for him. I must acknowledge that without my father’s unwavering support, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I plan to carry forward all the wisdom he imparted and share it with my own children.

During an interview with Country Living, Tarek shared that his father, born and raised Catholic in the Middle East (specifically Lebanon and later Egypt), had the chance encounter with his Belgian mother in Europe while still a teenager.
