Today’s Nintendo Switch 2 Direct was filled with numerous exciting announcements, leaving even our small GamesRadar+ team scrambling to gather the news that would typically grace our homepage. One piece of news that may have slipped through the cracks amidst all the Switch 2 buzz is Elden Ring: Tarnished, essentially meaning Elden Ring for the Nintendo Switch 2.
We acknowledged that Elden Ring was mentioned alongside other complex games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, destined for the Nintendo Switch 2 family. However, Bandai Namco also shared their own news about the enhancements being made to Elden Ring: Tarnished and the original Elden Ring game across all platforms.
As a dedicated gamer, I’m super excited to share some exciting news about Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition on Switch 2! According to Bandai Namco’s official website, this upcoming version will pack everything from the original game and Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, along with some fresh customization options for Torrent’s appearance. Interestingly, the Japanese FromSoftware Twitter account hinted at four new armor sets, but they kept quiet about any potential new weapons. Can’t wait to see what these new additions bring to the game!
Bandai has assured that the new features of the Tarnished Edition will be accessible on all other platforms, ensuring no one gets left behind. Unfortunately, an official launch date for these updates hasn’t been announced yet. However, we do know that it is expected to release on the Switch 2 at some point in 2025.
