Elden Ring Nightreign gets an Evanescence-backed trailer that’s basically an official AMV

The highly anticipated cooperative game from FromSoftware and Bandai Namco, Elden Ring: Nightreign, is nearly upon us, and in honor of the occasion, they’ve unveiled a fresh trailer for the title. Unlike previous previews, this one veers away from presenting an in-depth gameplay walkthrough or spotlighting specific characters.

Rather than a conventional trailer, this Elden Ring Nightreign preview assumes the style of an unofficial AMV (fan-made anime music video), utilizing the popular “Bring Me to Life” song by Evanescence. Be sure to check it out:

It’s hard to say who at Bandai Namco or FromSoftware came up with this brilliant idea, but they definitely hit the nail on the head. Since it was inevitable that someone would create a fan version of this concept once the game was released, it makes perfect sense for them to release an official one instead.

This immediately takes me back to the mid-2000s, a time when watching game battle sequences accompanied by dramatic music was the ultimate delight for my budding emo self. Truly incredible!

2025 has been an exceptional year for Evanescence so far, especially with their contribution to the Netflix Devil May Cry animated series soundtrack, and as a fan, I couldn’t be more thrilled about it!

Elden Ring: Nightreign is a cooperative game, although it shares elements like enemies, bosses, and gameplay from FromSoftware’s 2022 epic, it offers a distinct experience, as players work together to battle through a diminishing map in separate playthroughs.

Critics have commended the game’s engaging gameplay and visually appealing design, but they’ve also pointed out some concerns. Specifically, they’ve mentioned that there is no multiplayer compatibility across different platforms and the game seems to lack a solo player mode, which has sparked some criticism.

Over the past week and a half, I’ve had the privilege of diving into Elden Ring Nightreign. As a fellow fan, let me tell you, this game is nothing short of extraordinary and audacious from the studio. But after playing it thoroughly, I can confidently say that it’s been an absolute blast to play! I’m genuinely thrilled that FromSoftware decided to venture into this exciting direction.

The action RPG game Elden Ring Nightreign is planned for release on May 30, 2025, available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
