Elden Ring Nightreign update aims to fix one Nightlord boss tanking your framerate—the other from going berserk and mashing you into paste with ’72 consecutive attacks’

Tired travelers of Elden Ring, I bring glad tidings: The game has received an update, and it’s improved the difficulty of two challenging bosses slightly. They are now less likely to cause issues such as lowering your frame rate or dealing excessive damage that could leave you in a pulverized state like a Wylder.

In simpler terms, the difficult boss battles have been tweaked to make them less likely to cause technical problems or kill you easily!

According to the update details on the Bandai Namco website, this update is mostly about tweaking certain weapons and modifying passive drop rates. However, an important aspect to highlight is that the issue causing the game to slow down significantly during battles with Adel, Baron of Night (a.k.a Gaping Jaw), has been resolved: “Bug fixed which caused the game to become unstable in some scenarios when fighting against Adel, Baron of Night.

It’s still uncertain if this solution will end my frequent Titanic freezes during battles with that difficult foe, but it may assist in preventing you from being overpowered by command grabs. As I’m accustomed to maintaining a consistent pattern with bosses, any deviation from the usual routine tends to throw me off significantly.

The alternate boss you’re referring to is Libra, the Balancing Beast. During its frenzied state, this Nightlord would often lose control and continuously pound the ground for extended periods of time. Quite eerily, this reminded me of my initial response when his madness build-up move terminated my gameplay.

Hey there! As a fellow gamer, I came across some gameplay footage on the subreddit where a player named Syntex encountered an issue. It seemed like their character, Libra, was unintentionally attacking her teammates for more than 72 straight attacks in our favorite game. Crazy, right?

In other words, the game developer FromSoftware has resolved an issue where Libra, the Creature of Night was repeatedly performing certain actions excessively. Now, Libra’s reaction to being hit by Ironeye’s arrows will be more in line with the frequency and intensity of the attacks.

Version 1.01.2 of the game is available on Steam now. FromSoftware wants gamers to know that while this update addresses some bugs, there might be similar problems under specific circumstances. They are actively working on fixing these persistent issues.

I’m thankful for this, as it seems the skilled team at Bandai Namco has some work cut out for them, figuring out why the giants in their game are shooting off-target with their flame pots. This appears to be a technical glitch rather than an issue of my skill or awareness. You can find the complete patch notes below if you’re interested.
