Nevertheless, she conceded that she had caught the heartfelt apology given by the actor from “The Hot Chick” in his extended conversation with Tucker Carlson.
Elle, who is related to Rob through his first marriage with London King, expressed that she didn’t watch the entire August podcast episode because it was too long, approximately two hours. She added that most people wouldn’t want to listen to such a lengthy podcast. However, she did catch his apology, confirming that she indeed watched it.
The updates come two months after the Grammy-nominated singer made waves after suggesting Rob was an absentee father.
On the Dumb Blonde podcast in August, she expressed that she often felt like a lost soul among many, explaining that even minor mistakes such as missed shots, intrusive arms in the camera frame, or talking too much, could land her in hot water.
She mentioned that her father, a former Saturday Night Live star, typically overlooked her birthday. Moreover, she has decided to maintain a distance from him lately because of his offensive comments about the LGBTQ+ community.
She clarified, “He doesn’t have a pleasant demeanor. I often find myself at odds with his views. Regardless of our desire for someone to alter, we don’t possess the power to dictate other people’s behaviors or emotions. The only thing within our grasp is how we respond and manage our own feelings.
Rob responded to his estranged daughter’s comments two days later.
He expressed on The Tucker Carlson Show, “Let me simply convey this to my daughter: Elle, I adore you. If only I could have been the father you needed in your 20s, it’s evident I fell short. Regrettably, that wasn’t the case. I wish you all the best. I feel remorseful, and I want you to understand that any words you say towards me don’t affect me personally.
“I love you completely,” he added. “I love you entirely.”
