After Elon Musk expressed disappointment over Vivian’s decision to undergo gender-affirming treatment, Grimes commented on the situation. Vivian is one of Elon’s children, born to his ex-wife Justine Wilson, along with their other kids – Nevada Alexander Musk (deceased), Griffin Musk, and triplets Kai Musk, Saxon Musk, and Damian Musk. Elon felt distressed and seemed to have lost connection with Vivian due to what he referred to as the “woke mind virus.”
In an interview with Daily Wire on July 23, Elon admitted that he unwittingly signed some documents. At the time, he wasn’t fully informed about the situation, and there was much chaos due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
He went on, admitting that he had granted Vivian permission for the treatment under false pretenses. He had been led to believe that you (Vivian) would consider taking your own life if he refused, resulting in a great loss for him – the loss of his son figuratively speaking.
But Vivian quickly fired back at her father’s comments.
The 20-year-old expressed to NBC News in an interview on July 25 that he believed the person in question assumed he would keep quiet about the matter and not speak up. However, if someone falsely accuses me in front of a large audience, I won’t remain silent.
As an obsessed fan of Vivian’s story, I can’t help but be in awe of how she boldly claimed her autonomy at the tender age of 18. She bravely filed for a name change all on her own, asserting her right to define herself. Furthermore, Vivian emphasized her power to make crucial decisions concerning her identity and health, a testament to her courage and self-determination.
She stressed, “I’m an adult, turning 21 soon, not a kid. My life is shaped by my decisions.”
Vivian pondered over her strained relationship with her father, which she believes started well before she identified as transgender at sixteen. She recalls that he had a short temper and was scarcely there for approximately ten percent of her childhood.
She described him as indifferent and self-centered, bringing up a memory from the fourth grade when he harshly criticized her for the way she spoke. He frequently scolded her angrily for having a high-pitched tone, which she found to be unjust and hurtful.
Although my connection with my father has grown quite tense, I cannot help but feel thankful for my mom’s unwavering presence and love in my life.
“She’s very supportive,” she said of Justine. “I love her a lot.”
