Elton John Details Strict Diet in His 70s

As a seasoned observer of the world of entertainment, I must say that the life and career of Sir Elton John have been nothing short of extraordinary. Born Reginald Dwight in England, he transformed into one of the most iconic figures in pop music history, known simply as Elton John.

Temptation’s strong, but Elton John has made some sacrifices for the sake of his health.

El cantante conocido como “El Hombre de los Cohetes” ha compartido recientemente los alimentos que ama pero que debe evitar por su estricta dieta, debido al diagnóstico de diabetes tipo II que recibió en la década del 2000.

On the Nov. 11 episode of Ruthie’s Table 4 podcast, he mentioned, “I can choose to eat an apple or a piece of melon. It won’t spike your blood sugar levels if you’re mindful about it. However, what I really desire is chocolate and ice cream, but unfortunately, I can’t have any ice cream.

However, it’s not just classic desserts that the EGOT winner, who shares sons Zachary (age 13) and Elijah (age 11) with husband David Furnish, longs to savor once more. He also emphasized his admiration for the remarkable food in the Southern region.

Elton remarked, “I enjoy various treats that aren’t necessarily healthy for me. Things like fried chicken and donuts. If I were to choose a last meal before execution, it wouldn’t be balanced – it would be filled with sweets because I can’t have them right now. So, my ideal meal would consist of ice cream, donuts, apple pie, rhubarb crumble, and so forth.

Additionally, Elton’s lifestyle isn’t limited to just his diet; he maintains clear boundaries across various aspects of his life. Prior to retiring from performances in 2023, the 77-year-old artist balanced his diet with a fixed work schedule to maintain a routine during tours.

He shared that he’ll arrive at the venue at 3 PM. He needs to wake up at 5:30 AM, have his breakfast (or dinner, depending on the context) around that time, and then leave for the venue.

As for what his pre-show meal contained? The “I’m Still Standing” singer stuck to the basics.

Elton clarified, “I’d likely have a small piece of grilled steak with some veggies. I need a bit of protein and vegetables to stay energized, especially before going on stage. It’s not fun when you feel weak or unsteady. That would be all – it’s just something I do regularly.

Following his meal, he preferred to maintain a straightforward routine before the performance, expressing, “I tend to dilly-dally preparing myself, and then it’s over.
