Emily in Paris star Lucas Bravo hints at what’s to come for Gabriel and Emily

As a seasoned movie critic who has navigated the romantic entanglements of countless on-screen couples, I must admit that Emily and Gabriel’s tumultuous journey in Emily in Paris resonates deeply with my own love life – or lack thereof. The will they/won’t they dance between these two characters is as captivating as a moth to a flame, leaving me on the edge of my seat for each new season.

In the captivating world of Emily in Paris, as I delve into its fourth season, I can’t help but find myself once more entangled in the tantalizing dance between Emily and Gabriel – a romantic tension that has consistently stolen the spotlight since the show’s early days.

Following Gabriel’s confession at the close of season 3 about his feelings for Emily, they rekindle their relationship in the subsequent series. However, as stated by actor Lucas Bravo, fans should not be complacent and think that everything is permanently fixed.

He added: “Yeah, it’s a long season, and so much can happen.”

Instead, Bravo commented that “shooting romantic scenes with Lily once more was a pleasant experience,” and he found it reminiscent of the feel from the show’s first season.

“It brought me back to that innocent time where I discovered this amazing world,” he explained.

“Lily joined us for a fantastic time, as we explored new experiences gifted by Darren this year. It offered such depth and complexity, and the disputes we engaged in were particularly enjoyable since they allowed us to tackle long-standing problems.”

“I enjoy our sparring sessions with Lily. We found it incredibly engaging. It was thrilling. The connection we shared during those sequences made the season particularly enjoyable for me.”

He went on to say: “From Gabriel’s point of view, when I step into his role, I adore Emily immensely. Being part of our intimate moments, such as at the ball or similar scenarios, makes me resonate strongly with romance, passion, and love. It’s a wonderful sensation.”

“I’m experiencing aspects of romance that I lack in my personal life, seen through the lens of Gabriel’s romantic relationships.”

Speaking about herself, Lily Collins (as Emily) mentioned that she appreciated having a single option to focus on for most of the season, rather than continuously shifting from one thing to another, which she described as “not having it just be a constant jumping around for Emily.”

She said: “She actually gets to make a choice and see the repercussions of that choice and which direction it goes in, and for at least the first five episodes, you see one side of what happens.”

However, as with Bravo, she teased that things might still change in the future.

“She mentioned that the second installment coming up next month will offer more unexpected events,” she said. “However, I found it enjoyable to work on these characters. It’s not always smooth sailing; there are challenges too.”

As a devoted fan, I’m finding this current season to be deeply personal for me. It’s all about embracing vulnerability and wholeheartedly owning decisions, even those that make me feel uneasy or exposed.

“These emotions can reach extraordinary heights or depths, yet accepting that they can coexist simultaneously is a key aspect.”

The first half of Emily in Paris’s fourth season is currently available for streaming on Netflix, while the second half will debut on Thursday, September 12th.
