Emily Ratajkowski is not hair for her new look.

The model revealed what she called the “most disastrous haircut” she’s ever had, characterized by messy fringes and bulky tiers.

Emily responded with a straight tone in her March 25 TikTok post, saying, “You must’ve expected humor from me? I actually have bangs at the back of my head instead.

The 33-year-old pondered, “My hairstyle seems to resemble Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, with her famous bowl cut, or maybe it has a touch of ‘Italian’ style.

She joked, “I believe the gentleman responsible for this situation might have been trying a type of British dance or courtship.” But either way, it’s clear it wasn’t my doing.

Emily, mother of 4-year-old Sylvester “Sly” Apollo (previously with ex-husband Sebastian Bear-McClard), admitted that while she can conceal the unruly strands of her bangs for now, she’s aware that won’t last once the wind picks up. In fact, she attempted to curl her hair in an effort to tame them, but to no success.

The actress from Gone Girl expressed honestly, “It’s more than just a makeover,” she said while displaying the transformation. “She’s adorable, but I’m not familiar with her.

She added, “You know you f–ked up when you’re contemplating a perm.”

 

Previously, she hadn’t stuck with her brown hair; all the way back in July 2023, she changed it to red.

Jenna Perry, the colorist, told InStyle that what Emily was doing was new to her. She expressed a desire to be light-hearted and create something enjoyable for the summer season.

But the hairstylist noted that the fiery tresses were likely a “temporary thing for Emily.”

Jenna mentioned that she preferred not to make any long-term or high-maintenance choices, should her hair return to its original classic brown color.

By September, Emily had returned to her original style and has mostly kept it since then.
