As I delve into the lives of these remarkable individuals, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of admiration for their resilience and strength. Alaina Scott, who was adopted by Eminem in his struggle to provide a stable home for his sister’s daughter, has grown up under the guidance of a man who not only saw potential in her but also loved her unconditionally. Her bond with Eminem is so strong that she chose him as her father figure and had him by her side on her wedding day.

Will the grandpa-to-be please stand up?

Speaking as a lifestyle connoisseur, let me express my joy and astonishment at this new chapter in life – I’ve just become a grandpa for the very first time! My dear daughter Hailie Jade has graciously confirmed that she’s expecting her first child with her loving husband, Evan McClintock. This news is nothing short of heartwarming and breathtaking!

The 28-year-old had an extraordinary method to astonish her dad, as depicted in the music video for his most recent single titled “Temporary,” a tribute to Hailie.

In the video, you can observe Hailie approaching her father, who is a rapper, and presenting him with a “#1 Grandpa” jersey and an ultrasound image of their new family member. Hailie seemed to be savoring the moment, while Eminem, the father of Hailie with his ex-partner Kim Scott, appeared to be utterly taken aback.

Eminem, known as the “Slim Shady” rapper, alternates gazes between his daughter and the camera, then displays a sonogram image to the audience with an expression of astonishment. Meanwhile, Hailie maintains a beaming smile at her father’s reaction.

The remainder of the music video showcases homages to Hailie, including clips of her from when she was young right up until her wedding in May.

At the close of the video, Eminem displayed a message from Hailie that said, in part, “Thank you for all that you do and being there for us girls. You are truly the best father in the world. I love you endlessly, and my love lasts forever and ever, plus an additional 100 million dollars worth of love, forever and always.

Over time, Hailie has frequently discussed how her father’s music has influenced her more profoundly as she’s grown older. Particularly significant for her are the songs “Temporary” and his collaboration with Jelly Roll on “Somebody Save Me.” In these tracks, an imagined scenario is presented where the rapper didn’t get sober and consequently missed out on family milestones.

She announced on her “Just a Little Shady” podcast in August that the music video for “Somebody Save Me” has been released, and she admitted to watching it. She expressed that she might not be able to rewatch it as she gets emotional whenever she listens to it at all.

She commented, “Both ‘That’ and ‘Temporary’ left quite an impact on me. In fact, I believe I cried out loud while listening to them, and ‘Temporary’ particularly moved me deeply.

As an ardent admirer, I must confess, watching those old clips of me alongside my amazing sisters Alaina, 31, and Stevie, 22, in our dad’s music videos was always a delightful journey down memory lane. However, recently, I find it increasingly challenging to navigate the emotional weight that comes with seeing so much of our shared past.

“The older I get,” she said, “the less I can listen to any of the songs.”

Kimberly Ann Scott hails from Michigan, and she was the high school girlfriend of rapper Eminem. Their daughter, Hailie Jade, was born in 1995 to her.

Kim was married to the rapper from 1999 to 2001, and for a short time in 2006 as well. Their stormy marriage is referenced in several of Eminem’s songs, such as “’97 Bonnie & Clyde,” “Vomit” and “Bad Spouse.

Kim pointed out in a 2007 interview with 20/20 that their relationship had a recurring pattern: they would enjoy two good years followed by a breakdown, usually after two years. At that point, they hadn’t yet reached the two-year mark, and Kim didn’t want to rush into anything before then.

However, Kim noted that Eminem has always been an “excellent” father.

“He loves the kids very much,” she shared. “He’s always lending a helping hand.”

On Christmas Day, 1995, rapper Eminem and his partner welcomed their daughter, Hailie. The music icon described the event as a significant moment that motivated him to focus on his life more seriously.

In an interview with Q magazine back in 2001, he shared that all his current actions are aimed at Hailie. He mentioned that the money he has is being saved for her education.

She predominantly grew up under the expansive roof of Eminem’s 15,000-square-foot home in the Detroit suburbs during her youth. Afterward, she enrolled at Michigan State University to pursue psychology. There, she began a relationship with fellow student Evan McClintock, whom she became engaged to in February 2023.

Eminem expressed his satisfaction during an episode of Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson in 2020, stating that Hailie, now known as Hailie Jade the influencer, has excelled and graduated from college with a remarkable GPA of 3.9. He definitely made him feel proud.

Born on Feb. 22, 1993, Alaina is the daughter of Kim’s sister Dawn Scott

In the early 2000s, Eminem became her legal guardian because of her mother’s battles with substance abuse. As he stated in Rolling Stone magazine in 2004, “I have full custody of my niece and joint custody of Hailie.” Ever since Hailie was born, she has been a significant part of his life, and his niece has lived with him wherever they were stationed. Essentially, Eminem and Kim shared the responsibility for her.

Growing up predominantly under the care of Eminem, the Oakland University graduate refers to him as her father and walked down the aisle with him during her wedding to Matt Moeller in June 2023.

She shared with People following the wedding ceremony where she was the Maid of Honor, “He wouldn’t have missed it,” she said. “Everything that happened here today, I owe it all to my father. I feel incredibly fortunate.

Her mother passed away in 2016 at the age of 41.

On April 16, 2002, Kim welcomed Stevie along with her boyfriend at the time, Eric Hartter. However, Eminem officially adopted Stevie in 2005 after reconciling with Kim.

In August 2021, Stevie publicly acknowledged their nonbinary identity on TikTok, expressing that they are comfortable with any set of pronouns being used to refer to them.

They added in the caption, “forever growing and changing.”

Born in 1955 at a military base in Kansas, Debbie is the mother of Eminem.

In her 2008 memoir “My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem,” it’s stated that she got married to the father of the artist known as “Without Me” (Eminem) when she was only 15 years old. Seventeen months later, she found herself pregnant with Eminem, and subsequently moved to Michigan where her maternal grandmother resided.

The strained connection between Debbie and Eminem has been highlighted in numerous songs of his, such as his 2002 hit “Cleanin’ Out My Closet.” In this song, he claimed that Debbie misused prescription drugs during his youth, a claim she refuted in her autobiography.

She wrote, “What mother wouldn’t prefer to be seen as sober and self-reliant rather than a drug-addicted, alcoholic dependent on welfare?” However, none of that was accurate, but the lies grew larger, leading to our eventual estrangement, which was Marshall and I.

Looking back now, I can’t help but feel a pang of regret over the raw family drama I aired out in my 2013 track, “Headlights.” In that song, I spilled it all without considering who might have been hurt by my words. I remember the verse where I said, “I went in headfirst, not thinking about who, what I said could wound,” and I suspect my mom took the brunt of it.
