Eminem’s Daughter Hailie Jade Honors Him With Baby Name Reveal

Hailie Jade was not afraid to turn to her family for the perfect baby name.

Oh, man! I can’t contain my excitement when I heard that Eminem’s daughter and her husband, Evan McClintock, named their newborn son after the legendary rapper himself! They showed true fandom by choosing Elliot Marshall McClintock as his name. It’s a brilliant homage to both Eminem (Marshall Mathers) and the boy’s grandfather, all rolled into one. What an incredible tribute!

Eminem has been accompanying the process as he prepares for the role of first-time grandfather. Interestingly, it was Hailie (daughter of Kim Scott), who announced her pregnancy in her father’s music video for “Temporary,” a song featuring Skylar Gray and dedicated to his daughter.

The heartwarming video features clips of her childhood and his affection for his granddaughter. Towards the end of the video, Hailie presents him with a Detroit Lions jersey inscribed “#1 Grandpa”, along with an ultrasound image of her baby. This moment leaves Eminem surprised. Previously, the 29-year-old has shared what it felt like to experience this special occasion with him.

On her podcast Just a Little Shady, Hailie recounted telling her father about an unexpected development. “Then I showed him the ultrasound photo, and he reacted something like, ‘Whoa! Is this for real? Is this actually happening?’

At the end of the video, Hailie shares her love for her dad in a heartfelt note.

Son, I’ve kept this card for several years and now seems like the ideal moment to pass it on to you. It reads: ‘Thank you for everything you do, for being there for us girls every step of the way. You are simply the best dad in the world. I love you forever, and that love lasts an infinite amount, always and evermore. Love, Bean.’

The pair consistently stands by each other’s side. At their wedding in May, the “Mockingbird” rapper stood by Hailie as they exchanged vows, and later shared a touching father-daughter dance during the ceremony held in Battle-Creek, Michigan.

In a May 2024 Instagram post, Hailie expressed joyfully, “We shared lots of laughter, smiles, and love! It was such an amazing feeling to have so many family and friends journey with us, traveling to celebrate the start of our new life together as husband and wife. We are incredibly grateful for their support.

Kimberly Ann Scott hailed from Michigan, and she was the longtime girlfriend of rapper Eminem during their high school years. Their daughter, Hailie Jade, was born in 1995 to them.

Kim was married to the rapper from 1999 to 2001, and for a short time in 2006 as well. Their stormy relationship has been mentioned in various songs by Eminem, such as “’97 Bonnie & Clyde,” “Vomit” and “Poor Husband.

In Kim’s 2007 interview with 20/20, she pointed out a recurring pattern in their relationship. Essentially, they would enjoy two years of good times followed by a breakdown for some reason. It seemed like their relationship had a two-year lifespan, and at that point, they hadn’t yet reached the two-year mark. Kim was hesitant to rush into anything before those two years passed.

However, Kim noted that Eminem has always been an “excellent” father.

“He loves the kids very much,” she shared. “He’s always lending a helping hand.”

On Christmas Day, 1995, rapper Eminem and his partner Kim gave birth to their daughter Hailie. In his own words, this event served as a significant motivation for him to focus and improve his life.

He shared with Q magazine back in 2001 that all his actions at the moment were focused on Hailie. He explained that any money he had was being saved for her education.

She spent the majority of her adolescence living under the roof of Eminem’s expansive 15,000-square-foot home in Detroit’s suburbs. Later, she enrolled at Michigan State University to study psychology. It was during this time that she encountered her future husband, Evan McClintock. The couple tied the knot in May 2024, a year after getting engaged.

During an episode of ‘Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson’ in 2020, Eminem expressed that Hailie was thriving, stating that the social media influencer (now known as Hailie Jade) graduated from college with a remarkable 3.9 GPA. He definitely made him feel proud.

In October 2024, Hailie announced her pregnancy with her and Evan’s first child, a baby boy.

Born on Feb. 22, 1993, Alaina is the daughter of Kim’s sister Dawn Scott

In the early 2000s, Eminem took on guardianship of his niece due to her mother’s battles with substance abuse. As he stated in a 2004 interview with Rolling Stone, “I have full custody of my niece and joint custody of Hailie.” Essentially, Eminem has been a significant figure in both their lives since they were born, with his niece becoming an integral part of his life. He and Kim shared the responsibility of raising her, wherever their living arrangements took them.

Growing up predominantly under the care of Eminem, the Oakland University graduate refers to him as her father and walked with him during her wedding to Matt Moeller in June 2023.

She shared with People following the ceremony where she was the Maid of Honor, that he wouldn’t have wanted to miss it. “Everything that happened here,” she said, “couldn’t have occurred without my father. I feel incredibly fortunate.

Her mother passed away in 2016 at the age of 41.

On April 16, 2002, Kim greeted Stevie in the company of her boyfriend at the time, Eric Hartter. However, Eminem officially became Stevie’s adoptive father in 2005 after reconciling with Kim.

In August 2021, Stevie publicly identified as nonbinary, expressing in a TikTok post that they are comfortable with any and all pronouns being used for them.

They added in the caption, “forever growing and changing.”

Born in 1955 at a military base in Kansas, Debbie is the mother of Eminem.

In her 2008 memoir “My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem,” she revealed that she got married to the father of the artist known as “Without Me” (Eminem), who was Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr., when she was only 15 years old. Seventeen months later, she became pregnant with Eminem and subsequently moved to Michigan, where her maternal grandmother resided.

In various songs, particularly the hit “Cleanin’ Out My Closet” from 2002, Eminem has expressed a troubled relationship with Debbie, claiming that she misused prescription drugs during his childhood. However, Debbie disputed this allegation in her autobiography.

She wrote, “What mother doesn’t want to be seen as a drug-abusing, heavy drinker living off government aid?” Yet, none of that was accurate, but the lies grew larger, eventually leading to Marshall and me growing apart.

Looking back now, I can’t help but feel a pang of regret over the family drama I aired out in my music. In the 2013 track “Headlights,” I spilled it all, not giving much thought to who might get hurt by my words:

“I charged headfirst, without a second thought,

In verse or stanza, my mom likely bore the brunt.
