As a curious observer of celebrity lives, I find myself captivated by the intriguing tales that unfold within the Mathers-Scott family. Alaina, the daughter of Kim’s sister Dawn, is a woman who has faced adversity and found solace in the arms of Eminem, her adoptive father. Her journey from being largely raised by the ‘8 Mile’ star to calling him “dad” and having him walk her down the aisle speaks volumes about the bond they share.

Hailie Jade loves the way her best friend lies.

The day following their announcement about the arrival of their first child, Evan McClintock’s wife, who is the 28-year-old daughter of Eminem and Kim Scott, along with her friend Brittany Ednie, revealed the amusing tactics they employed to conceal Hailie’s pregnancy during her wedding in May.

Brittany revealed on their October 4th podcast episode of Just A Little Shady, “No one realized she was pregnant, but secretly, she’d pass her drink to me whenever people weren’t looking. I’d drink it for her, pretending that she was continuously consuming throughout the night to give the impression that she was drinking responsibly.

As for me, I was overjoyed to witness Hailie’s announcement of her pregnancy, shared simultaneously on Instagram and in Eminem’s latest music video “Temporary.” Her close friendship with Brittany, my bestie, made her innovative reveal that much more effortless and delightful.

Hailie remarked, “Brittany stepped up for the team without being asked.” She implied that it was something understood between them, a silent agreement conveyed through their eye contact.

Additionally, Hailie commended her partner for supporting her secretive approach during pregnancy, yet confessed that he wasn’t particularly fond of her “lavender lemonade” beverage.

Normally, Evan is the one who takes a few sips, but he wasn’t around at the time,” explained the 28-year-old mother-to-be. “Evan declined it when offered, saying ‘I don’t want that.’ However, you seemed to step in and have some instead. It almost feels like you took on the task yourself.

And while it’s clear that Brittany will be a great aunt to the newlyweds’ bundle of joy, Hailie is certain that her dad Eminem will be the No. 1 grandpa.

Hailie expressed her gratitude in a card, saying, ‘Thank you for everything you do and for being there for us girls,’ referring to the rapper who made ‘Lose Yourself.’ She went on to say, ‘You are the best dad anyone could ask for. I love you forever, and more than that – forever and always.’

Kimberly Ann Scott, hailing from Michigan, was once Eminem’s girlfriend during his high school years. In the year 1995, they became parents to their daughter, Hailie Jade.

Kim was married to the rapper from 1999 to 2001, and for a short time in 2006 as well. Their stormy relationship has been mentioned in various songs by Eminem, such as “’97 Bonnie & Clyde,” “Vomit” and “Bad Spouse.

In a 2007 interview with 20/20, Kim observed a recurring pattern in their relationship: “Every two years, things would take a turn for the worse,” she explained. “It seems like we can only sustain our relationship for about two years at a time before encountering problems. We hadn’t yet reached that two-year mark, and I didn’t want to hastily commit without giving us enough time.

However, Kim noted that Eminem has always been an “excellent” father.

“He loves the kids very much,” she shared. “He’s always lending a helping hand.”

Back in 1995, Christmas Day marked the arrival of my precious little girl, Hailie. This new role as a father served as an eye-opening moment for me, pushing me to take responsibility and focus on doing better – a genuine call to action to straighten up and fly right.

He shared with Q magazine in 2001 that everything he was engaged in at that moment was all for Hailie. The funds, he explained, were earmarked for her higher education.

In my teenage years, I found myself residing under the expansive roof of Eminem’s suburban Detroit mansion. Later on, I embarked on a journey to Michigan State University, where I delved into the fascinating field of psychology. It was during this time that I crossed paths with my future spouse, Evan McClintock. We officially tied the knot in May 2024, following a year-long engagement.

Eminem expressed his satisfaction during an episode of Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson in 2020, stating that Hailie, now known as Hailie Jade the influencer, graduated from college with a remarkable GPA of 3.9. He was definitely proud of her achievements.

In October 2024, Hailie announced her pregnancy with her first baby.

Born on Feb. 22, 1993, Alaina is the daughter of Kim’s sister Dawn Scott

In the early 2000s, Eminem took guardianship of his niece because of his sister’s battles with substance abuse. “I have full custody of my niece Hailie, and joint custody with Kim,” he shared with Rolling Stone in 2004. “Hailie has always been a part of my life since she was born, and we effectively raised her together, wherever we lived.

Growing up predominantly under the care of Eminem, the Oakland University graduate refers to him as her father and chose to have him walk her down the aisle during her wedding to Matt Moeller in June 2023.

Born in 1955 at a military base in Kansas, Debbie is the mother of Eminem.

In her 2008 memoir titled “My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem,” she revealed that she got married to the father of the artist known as “Without Me” (whose name is Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr.) when she was just 15 years old. Sixteen months later, she became pregnant with Eminem and subsequently moved to Michigan, where her maternal grandmother resided.

The troubled connection between Debbie and Eminem has been highlighted in numerous songs of his, such as the 2002 hit “Cleanin’ Out My Closet.” In this song, Eminem accused Debbie of misusing prescription drugs during his youth, an allegation she refuted in her autobiography.

She wrote, “What mother would want to be labeled as someone who relies excessively on medication, overindulges in alcohol, and survives on government aid?” However, none of it was accurate, yet the lies continued to grow, leading eventually to our estrangement. (Marshall and I.)

Nevertheless, Eminem later showed remorse for publicizing his personal family issues. In his 2013 song “Headlights,” he rhymed, “I plunged in headfirst, not considering who or what I might injure / My words, my mother likely felt the pain the most.
