On the October 22nd episode of the “Inside of You” podcast, the Dancing With the Stars contestant expressed that it appears he’s lost his relationship with his daughter. He said there’s a lingering sadness due to what seems like ongoing misunderstandings between them, as humans are prone to.
In 1991, the actor who played The Pope of Greenwich Village star welcomed Emma (now aged 33) along with his former partner Kelly Cunningham. A year later, he tied the knot with Eliza Roberts. Struggling with addiction, he tragically lost custody of his daughter, which he referred to as the “most significant consequence” of his drug use in his memoir titled Runaway Train: Or the Story of My Life So Far.
Since 1995, Eric has maintained sobriety. Recently, he has gained a fresh outlook on his feelings about Emma, who is the mother of their 3-year-old son Rhodes Robert Hedlund, with his ex Garrett Hedlund.
