In the recent installment of Emmerdale, Dawn Fletcher (played by Olivia Bromley) was left in a tense predicament, as the repercussions of her father Will Taylor’s (portrayed by Dean Andrews) demise persisted.
During Will’s funeral, Dawn angrily approached stepmother Kim Tate (Claire King), whom she accused of being behind Will’s death after viewing a video where Will seemed to implicate Kim.
Following Kim being placed inside a coffin by Dawn, Dawn then notified the authorities about Kim, leading to an interrogation by detectives at the station. This occurred even though the coroner had determined that Will passed away naturally.
Joe Tate, portrayed by Ned Porteous, persisted in his role as the caring step-grandson, dispatching his legal representative to assist Kim instead.
At Home Farm, Joe and Dawn’s spouse, Billy (Jay Kontzle), held a conversation about their viewpoint that Dawn might have been mistaken regarding Kim.
However, Dawn felt both enraged and distraught upon learning that Kim had been freed without being charged, and Kim vehemently asserted her innocence while requesting to view the footage of Will.
Kim disclosed that she and Will were engaged in a fierce conflict prior to their reunion. This is why, as Dawn found out, Kim had enlisted Ross Barton, played by Michael Parr, to intimidate Will into leaving the town.
At dawn, Stormy (Dawn) left angrily, and Kim informed Joe that she was now resolved to be honest about her reluctance to aid Will when he was critically ill with a heart attack.
At The Hide, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) comforted a somewhat intoxicated Dawn, assuring her that Kim, in the role of a loving daughter, would never intentionally harm her. Meanwhile, Joe expressed his dissent and attempted to dissuade Kim from whatever she was planning.
Returning home, Dawn apologised to Kim, saying she regretted her behaviour and wanted to move on.
Kim was more than happy to put the day behind them, and all seemed back on track at Home Farm.
