Emmerdale confirms return of iconic character, 6 years after violent exit

As a long-time fanatic of Emmerdale who has witnessed the rise and fall of many a character, I must say that the return of Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) has stirred quite the intrigue within me. Having followed the tumultuous relationship between Joe and Kim Tate (Claire King), I can’t help but feel a shiver down my spine at the prospect of their reunion.

It was disclosed today that Joe Tate is the mastermind behind the plot Peter and Will have been working on to bring down Kim Tate.

As a film enthusiast, let me rephrase that for you: I’ve always found it tough to agree on things with Kim, and now that I’m back in the picture, she might want to keep a close eye on her own well-being.

Additionally, tomorrow’s special forward-jumping scene airs on Christmas Day, revealing that Home Farm is destroyed. However, the question remains, will Kim make it through this catastrophe?

And what has Joe been plotting this time? Is he only after Kim?

Concerning his upcoming return, Porteous stated: “I’m thrilled to be going back to Emmerdale! Joe has some lingering matters to address, and it seems fitting that he should reappear now. Previously, viewers last caught sight of Joe back in October 2018, following an incident where he collided his head onto a stone after getting hit by the character Cain Dingle, portrayed by Jeff Hordley.
