As a devoted fan, I can’t help but share my excitement after witnessing yesterday’s thrilling episode of Emmerdale, which is now streaming on ITVX. *[Caution: Contains spoilers for the 20th January 2025 episode.]*
This article discusses themes of child sexual abuse that some readers may find upsetting.
Intriguing premonitions hint at the grim demise of child abuser Anthony Fox (played by Nicholas Day) in the initial suspenseful episode of Emmerdale this week.
Blood was seen splattered on the ground, before the action returned to the present day.
Unaware of the grim reality that Anthony, who had raped her daughter Ruby (Beth Cordingly) when she was a child, thus making him both her father and grandfather, Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay) fretted about his location instead.
Steph found herself puzzled and annoyed when she discovered Mum Ruby had reunited with Caleb (William Ash). Viewers had seen him discover the truth about this just a week ago.
Anthony found himself on Laurel Thomas’s (Charlotte Bellamy’s) couch with a headache, while Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) was dismayed when Caleb verified that their suspicions about Anthony were correct.
Upon hearing from Nicola King (previously known as Nicola Wheeler) that Anthony was in her company with her child, Angelica (originally Rebecca Bakes), Nicola hastened back home and demanded his immediate departure from her residence.

In the heat of the moment, as I pointed out Angel’s exit and whispered to Tony that he was a threat to young ladies, his temper flared. The situation quickly intensified when Tony, enraged, physically assaulted me.
In a different turn of events, it was Laurel who halted him, but instead of marking the end for Anthony, she found herself on the receiving end of his anger when he came to his senses and vowed to expose her for assaulting him.
Anthony reworded the storyline and encouraged the women to move past their own allegations, claims he refuted.
Meanwhile, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) heard the truth of Ruby’s ordeal from a distressed Chas.
In the town’s heart, Anthony warned Ruby sternly that she should keep quiet about their unsavory history, and Aaron Dingle (played by Danny Miller) noticed fear lurking behind her denial in her gaze.
Anthony set up a gathering with Steph, yet unexpectedly fell to the ground, where he was discovered by Leyla Harding, also known as Roxy Shahidi, who stepped forward to provide assistance.
Alone afterward, Anthony rejected, and later on, Caleb approached him deceitfully, pretending to be friendly while luring the wicked man into his vehicle.
In one moment, Caleb concealed a firearm within his pocket. A subsequent scene flashed forward revealed a motionless and blood-soaked Anthony sprawled on the ground; however, did Caleb commit this act?
