Emmerdale Next Week: Robert Sugden Returns Amid Village Suspicion

For fans of the series, the early arrival of Robert Sugden, portrayed by Ryan Hawley, back in the village is a surprise, but unfortunately, it spells trouble for his half-brother John Sugden, played by Oliver Farnworth.

With Aaron Dingle (portrayed by Danny Miller) grappling with the return of his former spouse, Robert finds himself confronting the emotional toll of his time spent incarcerated.

In another location, Joshua Richards (known as Bear Wolf) explodes with anger and then mysteriously disappears. What’s the story behind this?

Emily Dingle (Emma Atkins) is shocked when she learns that her granddaughter, Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill), has been diagnosed with cancer.

Also, Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh) is not happy with Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick).

1. Robert Sugden is rejected by Aaron Dingle as John Sugden makes a threat

Aaron communicates to Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) that he won’t be visiting Robert in prison, and a sympathetic Victoria makes her way there on her own instead.

However, when Vic discloses the condition she found Robert in later on, Aaron is filled with regret because Vic seems helpless about assisting her brother.

But it was when Vic showed Aaron the state of Robert, he felt remorseful as Vic appeared at a loss for how to aid her brother.

Or even more casual: But later on, when Vic shows him what state Robert was in, Aaron feels bad because Vic seems clueless about how to help her brother.

Aaron ultimately changes his mind and visits Robert, who again tells Aaron that he still loves him.

Aaron continues to be firmly convinced that John is the suitable choice for him, while Robert is disheartened, conceding to give Aaron space.

I’ve managed to figure out where Aaron had disappeared to, and it wasn’t too long before I found myself standing across from John again, this time in the visiting area of the prison.

Robert shares with John that, had their father Jack (Clive Hornby) still been alive, he likely wouldn’t have welcomed him warmly. To add insult to injury, Robert then discloses a shocking secret: on the very day of John’s wedding, Robert and Aaron shared a kiss.

John is furious and ready to explode, telling Robert he has no idea what John is capable of.

This leaves Robert convinced that John is hiding something, and he vows to return to the village…

2. Robert Sugden battles prison demons as he returns to the village for good

In a surprising twist, the notorious secretive figure John finds himself slipping out of control, yet tragically, it’s his own actions that have paved the way for Robert’s predetermined destiny!

Aaron and John were taken aback as the recently freed Robert suddenly appeared at their apartment, announcing his return to reconnect with his loved ones.

Robert adds that they’ll be seeing of lot more of him, but what will Robert’s next move be?

Will he uncover John’s crimes?

In my critique of this gripping series, I find myself compelled to share a particular observation about the character Robert’s predicament. Upon his return to Keepers, Victoria cautions him that he must confront the lingering effects of his prison trauma lest it propels him unwittingly back into the cold walls of confinement once more.

What exactly has Robert endured during his years in prison?

3. Bear Wolf goes missing after a shocking encounter

Paddy Dingle (Dominic Brunt) feels irritated upon finding pieces of a motorbike scattered in the Tenant’s cottage, as he had given Bear the old motorbike to repair.

In simpler terms, Paddy finds himself facing challenges with his living arrangement at his father’s place. Together with his wife, Mandy Dingle (played by Lisa Riley), they devise a solution to this predicament.

Upon reaching the garage, he finds everyone ready for him, and he’s delighted to learn that Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) has granted him permission to repair his bicycle within their premises instead.

Mandy and Paddy don’t see Bear erupt in fury at the bike, with something clearly wrong.

With growing annoyance, Bear lashes out and menaces Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah). Noticing this altercation, Paddy intervenes and halts the situation.

Paddy feels dismayed, and both he and Mandy are left speechless as Bear carries on as though no incident occurred. Bear becomes annoyed at their inquiries and heads up the stairs, leaving Paddy and Mandy concerned that matters may worsen.

It seems that Mandy convinced Paddy to tackle the issue directly, but not long after, both Bear and the motorbike had disappeared. So, the question becomes: Where did Bear go?

At a sneak peek of upcoming events on Emmerdale, producer Laura Shaw disclosed that there is a major storyline ahead for the character [Bear], which will involve him being absent from the show for a short period.

Upon his return, you’ll find a changed Bear in an entirely new circumstance. All of us will be intrigued and questioning, “What on earth took place here?

4. Charity Dingle discovers Sarah Sugden’s cancer diagnosis

Sarah heads for her treatment, and she’s thrilled when Doctor Knapp informs her that they successfully obtained a sufficient number of eggs for testing their viability.

However, Charity later picks up a call on Sarah’s phone from the hospital, and is greatly alarmed by the news she receives.

Sarah is caught out when a furious Charity confronts her about her diagnosis of cervical cancer.

As a passionate cinephile, I find myself pondering over the story of Sarah, who’s resolute about pursuing IVF, despite battling an illness. The question that arises is: Will Charity, her confidante, hinder or support this decision?

5. Tracy Robinson shuns Vanessa Woodfield

Vanessa tries to get through to Tracy, but Tracy is not interested in her sister’s excuses.

Why is Tracy so angry with Vanessa?

It appears that Tracy is now being considered a potential suspect in the murder of Nate (Jurell Carter). However, could there be a connection between these two situations?

With John the true culprit, have his actions isolated poor Tracy?
