As darkness settled, an elderly gentleman approached April, proposing a bed for her – however, a youth named Dylan (Fred Kettle) cautioned her, warning that he should not be relied upon.
Dylan then took her to a run-down building where he and other homeless youngsters were living.
Becca (Becca Ashton) wasn’t keen to house April, especially as the latter had been seen vomiting.
It didn’t take me long to realize that April was expecting a child, which she revealed had been fathered by a man she met at a party.
Becca grew protective over April as they joined forces to beg for money on the streets.
In a terrible turn of events, when April’s pocketbook containing only enough money for a modest meal was stolen, Becca pursued the thief relentlessly. Tragically, Becca ended up being fatally stabbed – a fact that Marlon would later have to confirm in the hospital morgue.
Later, April felt her baby kick, finally taking in what was happening to her.
Additionally, she discovered that Dylan was earning income from adult work, and subsequently, the safe haven they had established was later searched by law enforcement officers.
April got away, but soon buckled in pain, before giving birth alone in a toilet cubicle.
In a heart-wrenching sequence, I found myself emotionally moved as April tenderly wept and expressed her deepest apologies to the tiny being she had lost, left in peaceful repose on a park bench while she momentarily sought solace nearby.
