Emmerdale’s Kim Tate sets up cunning new scheme against Joe Tate

Joe, it turns out, is involved romantically with Dawn Fletcher, who is the married stepdaughter of Kim and someone else. (Dawn Fletcher is played by Olivia Bromley.)

As the ITV soap progressed, Kim discovered that her good friend and housekeeper, Lydia Dingle (played by Karen Blick), had inadvertently picked up her surveillance gadget amidst the trash. Not long after, Kim shared with Lydia what she had been secretly doing.

Kim indicated that there was no information suggesting Joe was being dishonest, but Charity informed her about the hidden microphone, implying that Joe may also be conscious of this device.

At a later point, Kim disclosed to Joe that she had secretly observed him, but now held absolute trust in him and felt confident in their ability to advance together, unwavering in their commitment. Instantly, she granted Joe full autonomy within his position in the enterprises.

Updating a confused Lydia, Kim revealed that Joe needed to think he was in the clear in her eyes.

But instead, she was enlisting Lydia’s help to keep a discreet eye on Joe.

Lydia was clearly up for the challenge, but what will she learn about Joe?
