In the version 0.7.3.0 update, the game Enshrouded now includes numerous intriguing items scattered across different regions, including every fossil found within the Revelwoods ecosystem.
The following fossils are essential for the latest “Discovering Fossils” missions. However, they don’t possess any active functions on their own. Instead, they serve as intriguing trinkets to uncover during your expeditions and showcase at your outpost!
In this guide, we’ll tell you all of the known locations for fossils in the Revelwoods biome.
All Fossils in the Revelwoods Biome | Enshrouded 0.7.3.0
In the Revelwoods Biome of Enshrouded, you’ll find four distinct fossils: Gastropods, a single Gastropod specimen, Trilobites, and a Trilobite Imprint.
As a gamer, let me clarify something about the fossils – they don’t have a fixed spot where they appear. There are certain areas where these fossils tend to show up, but the specific one you’ll find might vary for each player. Unfortunately, I can’t guide you on how to get a specific fossil because it seems like everyone has their own luck of the draw!
Additionally, this implies that there are indeed more than four hidden spots within Enshrouded where you might discover all the Revelwoods fossils. Rest assured, we’ll share each and every location we’re aware of to ensure you don’t miss any!
- Location 1 – Mark of Sameth Barrels
- Location 2 – Mark of Sameth Cave

Location 1 – Mark of Sameth Barrels
Let’s start our exploration with the Mark of Sameth, situated west of the Ancient Spire within the Revelwoods. It’s quite accessible if you possess an effective gliding tool. Don’t forget to pack a pickaxe and some means of creating fire – like a Fireball spell – for your journey.
Upon arriving at the Mark of Sameth camp, proceed into it and move forward in a direction slightly to the northwest. Keep going until you spot a line of red barrels on your right-hand side.
Use fire on them to blow them up and to create a tiny crater.
The fossil will be in the middle of the crate after the explosion.
Location 2 – Mark of Sameth Cave
You’ll find this spot in the region known as the Mark of Sameth too, making it convenient to explore next. Simply retrace your steps to the entryway of the Mark of Sameth camp, then seek out a cave nestled within the cliffside on your left.
Reaching there swiftly involves scaling the cliff situated to the right of the Mark of Sameth camp, although it might prove challenging. Upon reaching an appropriate height on the cliff, you’ll be able to effortlessly soar down towards the cave.
When you’re inside the small cave, use a pickaxe to clean up the rubble behind the chest.
The fossil will appear from under the rubble! Pick it up and you’re done here.
Location 3 – Eastern Cave
As a seasoned adventurer who has traversed countless landscapes and explored hidden caves in search of ancient relics, I must say that the location of this fossil is particularly intriguing. Nestled on the eastern edge of the vast Revelwoods biome, it’s a place that seems to whisper tales of long-forgotten civilizations. The fact that it’s marked on our map alongside the Ancient Spire only adds to its allure, as if it holds secrets waiting to be unlocked by those daring enough to seek them out. I can hardly wait to embark on this new expedition!
Kindly step into the cave and examine the western wall carefully. You’ll notice a pile of debris with a faint, reddish luminescence that indicates the location of the fossil.
Location 4 – Revelwoods Frontier Fissure
The fossil site you’re looking for lies towards the east of Revelwoods Ancient Spire. It’s not too far from both a Flame Sanctum and Catacombs, as shown on the map. However, beware, the area is covered by Shroud, so ensure you’re well-prepared before venturing there.
When you reach the designated zone, search for a crack on the ground overflowing with Shroud nearby. You’ll find it close to a big rock adorned with mushrooms and a cliff studded with crystals.
Venture into the crack, making your way towards its most northerly point, where you’ll discover a substantial circular sedimentary stone. The fossil you seek will be positioned atop this rock, identified by the distinctive red radiance.
Location 5 – Trade Outpost “Old Rye”
As a gamer,
Instead of a leisurely journey, consider quickly traversing to the Ancient Spire situated within the Revelwoods region. Then, soar gracefully towards the Shroud; it’s the quickest and most convenient method to get to that trade outpost!
In this dimly lit region, it might be challenging to spot the Trade Outpost “Old Rye,” but keep an eye out for a distinctive red glow emanating from the goods within.
Once you enter the outpost, just look on the ground to find one of the fossils.
Location 6 – Spider Cave
As someone who’s spent countless hours exploring the mysterious Revelwoods, I can confidently tell you that the item you seek lies directly south of the ancient spire. Been there myself, and let me tell you, it ain’t an easy trek! Make sure you got your trusty Grappling Hook with you, ’cause this one’s tricky to reach without it. Happy hunting, adventurer!
When you get to the place indicated on your map, search for a cave opening adorned with glowing mushrooms.
Head straight into the cave, then turn right at the first opportunity. Up ahead, you’ll notice a red glow emanating from an upper ledge. Employ your grappling hook to propel yourself towards that ledge.
You’ll find the fossil hidden beneath the spider webs up on the ledge.
In the Revelwoods biome of Enshrouded, you’ll find all the fossils and their respective locations. However, it’s important to note that there are more locations than fossils, so you won’t need to explore every spot in a single playthrough.
