The 0.8.0.0 update for Enshrouded coincides with the Lunar New Year, bringing in a collection of fresh Serpent Weapons. Some of these weapons can only be obtained by locating Journal Pages and solving the Ouroboros Temple enigma.
A fresh set of three weapons themed around serpents has been introduced, crafted mainly from jade. These unique-looking items are quite the catch and would undoubtedly be a valuable addition to any collection!
In this tutorial, we’ll walk you through obtaining all the latest weapons. This will involve solving the riddle for the Ouroboros Temple and also referencing any journal entries related to the Serpent Weapons within Enshrouded.
How to Get All Serpent Weapons + Journal Pages & Ouroboros Temple Solution | Enshrouded
Staff of the Serpent
Let’s begin our adventure by acquiring the Staff of the Serpent, one of the simpler Serpent Weapons found in Enshrouded and situated near a newly discovered Journal Page. To find it, head to Netherton, which is east of Springlands Ancient Spire. Our journey will commence from the northern part of the town.
Approach the town from the northern side, then make a sharp turn to your left. Proceed over the crumbled fortification and enter via the tiny, winding tunnel that leads to the heart of the town.
After some time, you’ll find yourself standing on a set of wooden platforms with a view of the main part of the town below. Locate the anchor point on the structure ahead and make use of it to traverse the distance.
As I make my way across, I’ll find myself at the edge. To ensure a westward stance, I’ll adjust my direction accordingly. My goal is to descend safely to the wooden platforms situated at the base. Instead of plummeting straight down, I recommend utilizing your glider or jumping onto the lower part of the building first for added safety.
Once you’ve reached the lowest point, head towards the south direction to discover a collection of wooden platforms. Jump onto the central one and engage with the solitary wall nearby.
It’s an obvious fake wall, so just push it open!
This will reveal a hidden compartment with a chest. Open the chest to get the Staff of the Serpent!
Journal Page 1 – About the Goods
Moving forward, let’s proceed to the Journal Pages now. Both journals provide clues about where the Sword of the Serpent is hidden. The first one can be discovered in Netherton immediately after you obtain the Staff of the Serpent. We’ll take the location of the Staff of the Serpent as our starting point here! To begin, exit the concealed compartment containing the chest and hop onto the platforms to the north.
You should end up close to a ladder, facing west. Climb up this ladder.
After you climb up the ladder, turn around to face east and go straight through the tunnel.
Upon exiting the tunnel, make a left turn and orient yourself towards the northeastern direction. Proceed through the nearest doorway located within the ruins.
As soon as you step into the ruins, you’ll see the Journal Page right in front of you on a windowsill. Go ahead and approach it to have a look and read its contents!
Journal Page 2 – Let Sleeping Dogs Lie
To reach the unspecified ruins, you should head directly southwest from the Revelwoods Ancient Spire. The location is clearly indicated on the provided map for your convenience.
Search for the structure that has wooden planks across its entrance on the eastern part, among the ruins. Knock or break open those planks to gain access to the building.
After you step inside the building, head to your right and climb up two sets of stairs all the way to the top where the ruins are located in the upper part of the structure.
After that, proceed ahead and step into the building on your right-hand side. Just so you know, when you go in, you’ll be facing the north direction.
Finally, after passing through the doorway, don’t forget to look to your left. You’ll see the Journal Page on a desk in the room’s corner. Let’s just hope the skeleton sitting nearby won’t mind us grabbing it!
Sword of the Serpent
From what you can infer from the two journal entries, it appears that the Sword of the Serpent is located at the end of Glennwood, a settlement close to The Blackmire, which lies northwest of the ancient spire known as Revelwood.
Getting there should be straightforward, as Glennwood’s End is well-navigated without many significant hurdles or complications. Simply find your path to the largest structure at the very north of the settlement.
Stepping into the grand structure, simply follow the path ahead, and you’ll eventually find yourself at the far end of the entrance where a gleaming golden treasure chest awaits. Unlock its secrets to claim the legendary Sword of the Serpent – it’s that straightforward!
Bow of the Serpent – Ouroboros Temple Puzzle
After gathering the Journal Pages and about two-thirds of all the Serpent Weapons in Enshrouded, it’s now time for you to explore the Ouroboros Temple. This temple is situated in the Shrouded region, which lies south of the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire. Be prepared to confront the Shroud there, and remember to take a bow along as well!
Upon stepping into the temple, you’ll find yourself in a spacious room. Across from the entrance, there’s a locked door waiting for you. To unlock this door, you need to tackle the Ouroboros Temple puzzle by locating and activating five distinct panels scattered around the hall.
You’ll discover a single section near the statue of the snake situated on the western wall. Take aim with your bow from the entryway and fire away.
Just like the previous setup, you’ll find a panel and a statue of a snake on the eastern wall too. Go ahead and take them down with your trusty bow.
Next, search for a pressure pad located on the lower floor’s western side. Jump down onto it to make it active.
As I carefully tread on this pressure pad, I pivot myself to face eastward. Now, I’ll try to line up a precise shot from where I stand, aiming at that panel across the room. Since arrows lose their momentum over distance, I’ve got to compensate for that when taking my aim. Let’s see if I can hit it with just a few well-placed shots!
Getting Back Up and Finishing the Puzzle
Once you fire that panel, locate a spot above you where you can attach your grappling hook. Hook onto it to ascend and reach the higher section of the hallway.
After that, rotate to position yourself facing the southwest direction and gaze below. You will notice another panel from where you can take a shot.
Next up, use the pillars and large chains nearby to get to the eastern side of the hall.
Then, use the grappling points to cross the gaps while going to the southern end of the hall.
You can capture the last panel up high on the southern wall’s peak, as it’s somewhat concealed there. To clarify, it’s right over the entrance to the Ouroboros Temple.
After activating the final panel, your task now is to head towards the temple’s north entrance. Once you reach it, the door should automatically open to unveil a vast chamber with a glittering golden chest in its center. Open the chest to claim your reward – the Bow of the Serpent!
I’ve cracked it! Solving the Ouroboros Temple and collecting all Serpent Weapons, plus Journal Pages, is now under my belt in Enshrouded 0.8.0.0.
