During the “Necessary Evil” mission in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Henry finds himself facing a challenging decision. After gaining critical insights from a jailed outlaw, it becomes clear that the uprising he’s uncovered is connected to the very bandits who previously ambushed Henry’s traveling group at the start of the game.
In the game KCD2, Olda Semine is under suspicion for collaborating with outlaws who assaulted Otto von Bergow and causing chaos across the region. Henry now faces a dilemma: reveal Semine’s involvement to von Bergow or let him concentrate on dealing with the outlaws. This guide helps players decide whether or not to expose Semine.
Turn Semine in or Not Decision Guide – Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
After conversing with the captive and making the right choices, Henry uncovers a clue suggesting Olda Semine is collaborating with Otto von Bergow and the bandits who ambushed them during the Easy Riders mission. Moreover, there’s a possibility that the rest of his family could be implicated, although the prisoner claims otherwise. In the end, Hans hesitates on how to proceed and entrusts Henry with the decision about whether or not they should reveal the entire truth to von Bergow.
Don’t Turn Semine In Outcome
Henry and Hans will convene with von Bergow and his military aide, Hashek, once they are prepared to disclose what they’ve discovered. The players will encounter two dialogue choices concerning Lord Semine: “Young Semine is secretly allied with the outlaws” or “No one in this area supported the bandits.
If players decide to deceive him by claiming no one assisted the bandits, the main storyline will conclude then and there. But beware, this action may prompt a challenging skill check, provided players had informed Otto von Bergow earlier in the game that Olda departed from his wedding prematurely.
Turn Semine In Outcome

As a fan, I might express it like this: If you decide to inform von Bergow about Semine’s part in the affair, he will dispatch Henry, Hans, and Hashek to deal with the noble family. Give Hashek some time to rally his troops before you have any other tasks to attend to. Once he’s ready, locate Hashek and set off together towards Semine.
From the beginning, Hashek shows extreme hostility towards Elder Semine concerning Olda. He urges Lord Semine to surrender Olda for prosecution due to the allegations of wrongdoing against von Bergow. In this situation, Henry faces another difficult decision. When Semine inquires about the matter from Henry and Hans, Henry has an option to respond either “We’ll resolve it peacefully.” or “Hashek is justified.”
Despite Semine’s resistance, Hashek persists in demanding Olda’s surrender, threatening to destroy the place if they don’t comply. Semine admits that Olda has some connection with the bandits but denies any direct involvement in harming or killing anyone.
Side With Semine

By opting for a peaceful dialogue, Henry and Hans may find themselves aligning with Semine against Hashek and von Bergow’s troops. Should this be the preferred approach by the players, they should choose the appropriate social interactions that foster peace.
- You can’t do that!
- You’re going too far!
- I’m going to stop this.
A brawl may erupt, requiring the players to eliminate everyone belonging to von Bergow. Should this occur, Henry and Hans must conceal their actions by staging the deaths of Olda and Lord Semine, destroying their manor, and then mislead Otto von Bergow when they return to Trosky with their report. It’s most convenient for things to appear smooth if Hans handles all the conversation.
Henry will be hanged if he confesses to turning on Hashek.
Side With Hashek

Players may opt for taking action against Semine, aligning themselves with Hashek, through choosing appropriate social reactions such as these:
- Hashek is right.
- We have a witness.
- Listen to him, Semine!
- Hashek is right.
Once more, conflict ensues, and the combatants must eliminate every soldier under Semine’s command. Upon overpowering the soldiers, Hashek instructs his troops to track down Olda and annihilate all inhabitants within the fortress. This ruthless action is carried out regardless of any objections from Henry.
In this scenario, Henry needs to explore Semine’s stronghold and locate Olda since Hashek’s troops are systematically eliminating anyone remaining. He can be found atop the tower within the estate. Before making a decision, Henry will converse briefly with Olda. He faces a choice between apprehending Olda or allowing him to flee. If players opt for leniency, Henry and Hans must confront Hashek and his men alone. The events that follow are reminiscent of choosing Semine’s side initially, and in the end, they will have to deceive von Bergow.
If the team captures Olda, they’ll head back to Trosky and brief von Bergow. They may voice their concerns about Hashek’s excessive harshness or choose to overlook it. Regardless of their decision, the mission will conclude, paving the way for the next one to begin.
