Eric Mabius in Shocking Bar Fight: Arrested for Battery!

Eric Mabius is facing legal trouble.

The actor who played Daniel Meade on “Ugly Betty” (from 2006-2010) was detained in Florida on February 20, as indicated by documents acquired by People on February 21. These records suggest that he faced two minor charges.

According to reports from TMZ, who claims to have obtained video evidence, he is said to have been involved in a brawl at The Goat, located in Nassau County.

At approximately 2 a.m., Mabius was apprehended and later processed at the Nassau County Jail and Detention Center around three hours later, as shown in records examined by People. He is being held on charges of battery and resisting arrest without using violence. The trial for these charges has yet to take place, which was confirmed by the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office to the media outlet.

After his apprehension, the Sheriff’s Office also disclosed Mabius’ booking photo, obtained by People, showing him with a visible dark bruise under his right eye. Authorities declined to specify if the injury occurred during the arrest or before the event in question.

TopMob News contacted both the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office and Mabius representatives, seeking their comments. However, as of yet, we have not received any replies from either party.

After the final episode of “Ugly Betty” aired in 2010, Eric Mabius has remained active, starring in Hallmark’s “Sign, Sealed, Delivered.” This franchise, which started in 2013 and includes a TV series spanning four seasons and 13 movies so far, focuses on postal detective Oliver O’Toole (portrayed by Mabius) and his team of endearing outcasts who work diligently to ensure undelivered mail reaches its proper recipients.

For Mabius, it’s been an enjoyable test to play his character for more than a decade, given the story’s triumph.

In an interview with People on July 12th, he expressed that our fan base is incredibly enthusiastic. Every time we reunite for another film, it seems like there’s even more energy and positivity surrounding it.

Mabius expressed, “It seems to me that given the series’ development over eleven years, we find ourselves in a truly exceptional position. As our own personal lives progress, so too do the characters on the show.
