Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream Extended Presentation Reveals New Gameplay and Attention to Detail

After revealing the release date for Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream at the Future Games Show last month, River End Games has shared an extended cut of their presentation. In this expanded version, the development team provides further insights into the game’s inspiration, the design of the city, and how it mirrors 1900s Scandinavia. You can watch it below.

At Eriksholm, players assume command over up to three characters, initially controlling Hanna. Her objective is locating her missing brother, who the authorities are frantically seeking, thereby triggering a series of potentially disastrous occurrences. However, it’s not about brute force in this game. Instead, Hanna must employ strategies such as stealth, distraction, and more to navigate through the storyline.

Initially, the gameplay appears straightforward, but as you progress, it becomes increasingly intricate with features such as shattering lights. The level of detail across the entire game is remarkable, considering the studio’s relatively small size. Animator Lukas Rubensson contributed to the motion capture, while custom designers created the clothing in real life and then scanned it into the game.

We’re all eagerly waiting for the release of “Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream” on July 15th, available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Don’t miss our feature to learn more about it!
