Even before Epic Universe officially opens, there are already permit applications submitted for the park’s initial expansion project!

Universal initiated the beginning of construction on “South Campus,” home to Epic Universe, earlier this week. The contractor listed on the permit, Falcon’s Attractions, specializes in immersive theater attractions and 4D Dark Rides according to their website. Although we don’t have specific details about what this new development may entail or its exact location within Epic Universe, this construction seems consistent with ongoing speculation about the park.

In our upcoming article, let’s delve into the section concerning the dark ride, as it appears to align with an ongoing speculation in the park. For more than a year, whispers have circulated about the potential addition of a Luigi’s Mansion shooting dark ride within Super Nintendo World at Epic Universe.

I must confess, my knowledge about investigating Florida permits is quite limited, so I’m unsure exactly where this notice pertains to within the Epic Universe property. This means the details about the location and type of ride are largely speculation at this point and should be considered as such. However, it’s fairly certain that a new attraction from Falcon’s Attractions is on its way to Epic Universe, and it looks like we might see it sooner rather than later.

Ultimately, this expansion could significantly boost the park’s capacity, making it a must-visit destination for Nintendo fans everywhere.

On the side, at Universal Studios Florida’s North Campus, papers were submitted for initiation, marking the start of construction on parts of the upcoming coaster set to take over from Rip Ride Rockit.

There’s a strong suspicion that the theme of this project will be inspired by “The Fast and The Furious” franchise. Interestingly, the same contractor, PCL Construction, is also constructing the “Fast and The Furious” Hollywood Drift coaster within Universal Studios Hollywood.

Although no specific opening dates have been confirmed yet, it’s important to mention that both permits are valid until the year 2027.
