It’s widely expected that the highly awaited horror game is none other than “Silent Hill f.” Excitingly, Konami is planning to release a new mainline installment in this gripping series, which has been absent since 2012. Fortunately for enthusiasts, it appears that they won’t have to endure much longer before the official release date is unveiled. Notably, a special event focused on the game has been announced, making it the likely venue where we’ll learn more about its upcoming launch.

According to Wario64 (previously known as Twitter user), a panel for the anime adaptation of “Silent Hill” has been officially confirmed at the Anime Expo in Los Angeles, California. This event will take place at the JW Marriott Platinum Ballroom on July 4th at 3:15 PDT. The panel, titled “Konami Presents Unmasking ‘Silent Hill’ Panel,” will include Motoi Okamoto (the game’s producer), Ryukishi07 (scriptwriter), and Akira Yamaoka (composer). Details on what will be revealed are not specified yet. Fans are encouraged to share their questions for the trio via Silent Hill’s official account, as there’s a possibility that some of these questions might be answered during the panel.

It’s likely that if a new release date for the game “Silent Hill” is unveiled at an event, this would be the most reasonable expectation. Unless it appears at one of the several June showcases such as Summer Games Fest, the upcoming survival horror game may have its details disclosed there instead. The use of the word “unmasking” in its name implies a revelation or announcement, so fans might receive some fresh updates about the game. However, this is all speculation and we’ll know for sure when the panel takes place in a few months.

Earlier this year, details emerged about Silent Hill “f,” showcasing its protagonist Shimizu Hinako. As per the game’s description, the story unfolds in 1960s Japan, within the isolated town of Ebisugaoka, enveloped by an eerie fog. The recently released trailer hints at a series of bizarre occurrences taking place around Hinako following the arrival of the mysterious fog.

1960s Japan: The tranquil town of Ebisugaoka, where Shimizu Hinako resides, becomes enshrouded in an eerie mist, turning her familiar surroundings into a chilling nightmare. As the town’s tranquility fades and the fog grows denser, Hinako is forced to navigate the labyrinthine streets of Ebisugaoka, unravel intricate mysteries and face grotesque creatures to ensure her own survival.

Delve deep into the captivating universe conjured by celebrated author Ryukishi07, filled with spellbinding music by Akira Yamaoka and mesmerizing visuals. Join Hinako on her journey through a chilling narrative that explores themes of doubt, remorse, and unavoidable decisions. Will Hinako find the beauty concealed within fear, or will she yield to the madness lurking in her path? Uncover the latest installment in the Silent Hill series, seamlessly combining psychological terror with a hauntingly beautiful Japanese backdrop.

As a dedicated fan, I’m excitedly speculating that we might get our hands on the long-awaited “Silent Hill f” this year! In January, it was rated in South Korea, and in March, it received an ESRB rating. However, there’s a slight hiccup – it has been refused classification in Australia due to its content, which might mean not all regions will have access to it. Here’s hoping for a global release!

Although the exact release date for the new Silent Hill game remains undisclosed, it’s confirmed that upon its eventual launch, it will be available for play on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and personal computers.
