Gypsy Rose Blanchard is looking forward to starting a new chapter.
After serving eight years in prison for her part in the 2015 murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, the woman is now 33 and under strict parole. One of her conditions prevents her from residing with Ken Urker, who is the father of her daughter, Aurora Raina Urker.
Gypsy expressed on the May 19th episode of ‘Gypsy Rose Life After Lock Up’ that things are changing day by day for her. She’s just taking it as it comes because maintaining a relationship is tough when you’re living apart and your schedules clash.
In April 2024, Ken revived his bond with Gypsy, but the long-distance aspect has put a strain on him as well.
In another scene, he shared with the producers that Gypsy has been away for an entire week, and Aurora, his little one, is not at home. He admitted that the atmosphere feels a bit gloomy in the house. He expressed that during the daytime, before work, he seems to have lost his purpose. He added that he needs to find ways to keep himself busy as it’s quite lonely.
Gypsy cannot reside with her boyfriend until her parole term ends on June 25, 2025. In the meantime, she’s expressed her plans for the future, revealing a wish list of activities she intends to pursue once fully freed.
Gypsy suggested living together,” she mentioned to Ken, all while jotting down her wishlist, which encompassed adventures like visiting Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Iceland, as well as socializing at a bar and engaging in discussions with prisoners concerning prison reform.
For Ken, having the two loves of his life under one roof is the most important.
“We can all be a family finally under one roof finally,” he exclaimed. “That’s the biggest one.”
Following our visit to the nature museum for a date, Ken found himself overflowing with enthusiasm upon seeing Gypsy set free a butterfly, anticipating her own imminent liberation.
He expressed his feelings as he saw Gypsy freeing the insect, saying it was something they had never truly experienced before – the liberty to explore and appreciate the world. In a few months, when she’s no longer on parole, their adventures will expand even more. They’ll be able to travel and discover new places. He added that Gypsy has been an exceptional mother to his child.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, let me express my immense joy and pride in embarking on this incredible adventure with her. The three of us are living life in a way we’ve never experienced before, and it’s simply marvelous. Every moment of it is filled with delight, and I can honestly say that I’ve never been happier.
With absolute confidence in their future together, Ken has already purchased an engagement ring, intending to give it to Gypsy when her parole term comes to an end.
He expressed his desire, saying, ‘I aim to bring us closer as a family.’ He feels Gypsy is the companion he wishes to share his journey with, and he longs to co-parent their daughter, striving for strength together. It’s about making clear his dedication to them, as there’s no one else he’d prefer to live life alongside but her.
