The much-anticipated third season of “Squid Game” on Netflix is set to arrive later in Summer, and its creator has hinted at the significant role of the mystery surrounding the baby. As we approach the conclusion of “Squid Game” with its final season due out in June, viewers have been given a glimpse of what’s to come through a captivating teaser trailer. This trailer offers more than just a sneak peek into the last episodes as it subtly hints at a series of life-threatening games to come. However, the most intriguing aspect of this trailer is arguably the haunting sound of a baby crying in its closing moments. This could only suggest one thing…

In the thrilling world of “Squid Game” Season 2, I step into the shoes of Kim Jun-hee, portrayed by Jo Yu-ri. This vibrant character finds herself in a dire financial predicament, largely due to her baby’s father, Lee Myung-gi (played by Im Si-Wan), being ensnared in a treacherous cryptocurrency scam. The constant cries of the baby hint at an impending delivery that could unfold in the climactic episodes. Interestingly, the creator of “Squid Game,” Hwang Dong-hyuk, shared with Entertainment Weekly that this birth event will carry more significance than viewers might initially anticipate.

Squid Game Season 3 Will Feature a Surprise Birth

When asked if the baby crying in the Squid Game Season 3 trailer hinted at Jun-hee becoming a parent, Hwang clarified, “The trailer includes a baby’s cries, so viewers can anticipate that there could be a baby involved,” said the creator. “This baby will play a crucial role not only for Jun-hee but also for everyone in the game. Keep an eye out for it!” Furthermore, Hwang hinted at some highly dramatic events leading up to the Season 3 finale.

In discussing Season 3, Hwang shared his intention to include games that would highlight the darkest aspects of humanity, as the series was approaching its peak. He desired extremely intense games to elicit the most primal human emotions. When asked about his process for selecting these games, Hwang stated that in Season 1, we saw many games like Tug of War that exploited height and the fear it induces. However, in Season 2, this element was not present. Therefore, in Season 3, he opted to incorporate games that would instill a deep-seated fear through sheer height.

When Does Squid Game Season 3 Come Out?

Preparing for a global release on June 27th, I’ll be diving back into the captivating world of Squid Game, exclusively through Netflix. Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk shares his unique perspective for this concluding season, stating, “For this final chapter, I chose to explore a slightly different angle โ€“ delving into how individuals must maintain their humanity amidst the ruthless competition in this capitalistic age. I aimed to examine the question of how we can hold onto our humanity and what it means to remain human even during such intense competition.

As we approach the thrilling climax, there are numerous characters entangled in the story who may not make it through unscathed, as viewers eagerly anticipate. Even Gi-Hun’s survival is uncertain, leaving us on edge until the final episodes airing in June. We will then see how his role will impact the series resolution and whether he can help anyone avoid a disastrous end that might otherwise be inevitable.
