E!’s Official Ranking of Every Real Housewife Ever Is Diamond-Worthy

It’s time to say “Bravo, Bravo, Bravo” to Denise Richards in honor of her birthday.

On her 54th birthday, the former star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is undoubtedly celebrating with her loved ones. It’s likely that she’s receiving countless well wishes from her renowned friends, including fellow, past, and present RHOBH personalities such as Garcelle Beauvais, Camille Grammer, and close friend Kathy Hilton.

During her two-season run on the show, Denise’s performances earned her the title of gold in reality TV. Her chilling confrontation with former ally Lisa Rinna (“Oof, you’re so mad”) and her call for “Bravo, Bravo, Bravo” to halt filming during season 10 drama are just a few moments that will forever cement Denise as an icon in Bravo history.

Previously, as the honoree herself expressed during the Bravo show, she declared, “I am Denise Richards, Kyle.” (or simply, “On the Bravo show, Denise Richards said to Kyle, ‘I am Denise Richards.'”)

Good news for those longing to see Denise on television: The Richards family is making a comeback on reality TV! Their latest Bravo production, titled “Denise Richards & Her Wild Things“, promises to bring Denise back onto your screens.

Furthermore, just as the first-season trailer hinted at last month, rearing children in Hollywood is filled with plenty of turmoil.

In her recent interview on February 4th, Denise acknowledged that she’s juggling multiple roles, including being an actress, a wife, a mother, and navigating the Hollywood scene. She has daughters Sami Sheen (20), Lola Sheen (19) with her ex-husband Charlie Sheen, as well as a 13-year-old daughter Eloise Richards with her current husband Aaron Phypers. Being a parent under the public eye in Hollywood, particularly when your parents are Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen, is quite challenging.

And no one ever said it was easy growing up with famous parents.

In a light-hearted manner, Denise said to Sami and Lola, “It seems like your parents and ours aren’t exactly perfect role models, and we’re passing that on to our kids, right? I’m just joking!

In her February 4 interview preview, Denise, who has daughters Sami Sheen (20), Lola Sheen (19) with ex-partner Charlie Sheen, as well as a 13-year-old daughter Eloise Richards with husband Aaron Phypers, acknowledged the challenge of maintaining a balance. “I’m an actress, wife, and mother,” she said, “Navigating Hollywood life while being a parent is incredibly difficult, especially when your parents are Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen.

And no one ever said it was easy growing up with famous parents.

In a joking manner, Denise said to Sami and Lola, “It seems like your parents and ours might be less than perfect, and that has resulted in some… less-than-ideal children. But don’t worry, I was just kidding!

To celebrate Denise’s remarkable day, let’s delve into where she stands among the greatest Housewives of all time, alongside iconic figures such as former RHONY star Bethenny Frankel, original RHOBH member Kyle Richards, O.G. RHOC figure Vicki Gunvalson, and scene-stealing RHOSLC personality Mary Cosby.

The series titled “Denise Richards & Her Wild Things” makes its debut on Tuesday, March 4th at 9 p.m., airing on Bravo. Starting from March 11th, the series will air two consecutive half-hour episodes each week, and it will settle into its regular 9 p.m. time slot.

Bravo’s unsuccessful attempt at showcasing our country’s capital united four women who are so ordinary you might easily overlook them – their names being Mary Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Cat Ommanney and Stacie Scott Turner—. There was also one woman who sought attention so much she managed to crash a party at the White House. We’ll delve deeper into her story later on.

Who?

Vaguely familiar, but…

Once upon a time, DeShawn starred on the same TV show as NeNe Leakes. Surprising, we know.

This one-season Housewife brought nothing to the Orange County table.

In January 2022, Utah’s latest addition to the second season of Housewives found herself in hot water when her past offensive and racially insensitive remarks on Facebook reappeared online. Consequently, she was let go from the show. Later, Jennie issued an apology, but the harm had already been inflicted.

Her defining trait was “cougar.”

During season 16, the doctor from Orange County was more of a calm presence rather than a source of drama. Her brief marital issues with her husband, whom we might remember as Ryne or perhaps Ryan, didn’t stir much excitement. However, one incident that will forever stand out is Dr. Jen’s overindulgence in wine at the Dubrows’ unusually awkward yet entertaining dinner party.

As a passionate fan, I’d have to say that the debut season of the nurse anesthetist’s show left me with a sense of discomfort, and one word that comes to mind is the dreaded “Esophagus-gate.

Katie frequently discussed her charitable activities, yet didn’t seem very active on-screen for extended periods. She was more like a fleeting presence, offering little in terms of significant contributions as a cast member. Cutting the cast trip short? That’s generally frowned upon among the ‘Housewives’.

During the two seasons she starred as a full-time cast member, Charrisse’s marital struggles became quite prominent…and indeed, these difficulties along with her champagne room are what many remember most about her.

A one-and-done Housewife, Shamari was at least fun?

In season 12, it was refreshing to witness a touch of diversity in the predominantly white Orange County, but Peggy turned out to be a source of annoyance. Her choice of conflicts were peculiar, frequently revolving around misunderstandings over words she didn’t comprehend, and her decision to isolate herself in her room for an entire day during the Iceland trip demonstrated that she might not have the right fit for the reality TV show lifestyle.

Instead of developing a connection with Nigerian costar Wendy Osefo during season eight, Nneka’s first season narrative focused solely on the controversy surrounding her accusations against Wendy’s mother being a witch (indeed, quite unusual). It would have been more enjoyable to watch them foster friendship based on their shared culture rather than engaging in arguments without resolution.

In the 16th season, Noella whirled about as a whirlwind of frenetic activity. Though her private hardships were somewhat intriguing (her husband, James, departed the country and requested a divorce just before shooting began), it was her ongoing turmoil with Heather Dubrow that prevented her from sinking to the very bottom of the rankings. With additional time and another season, we might grow fonder of Mrs. Bergener.

In her debut season, she was known as a peacemaker, but by her final season, she went from that to constant complaints over a tossed cake and baseless accusations of anti-Semitism – it’s hard to recall a faster descent from grace on the Real Housewives.

Everything that Amber and her spouse Jim appeared to do screamed urgency or despair. Interestingly, it was Jim who found himself more entangled in the drama compared to Amber. It’s not an appealing image.

What stands out about Karen is that she was a dental professional, and it appeared as though none of her colleagues held her in high regard. On to the next topic!

This was a real person with a show on Bravo. We promise.

In the case of Jules from RHONY, her time on the show was relatively short, preventing a higher ranking. Nevertheless, she certainly added plenty of excitement and drama to the series.

So unnecessary they couldn’t even get individual taglines.

Similar to Sara Al Madani, Nina embodied a multifaceted, accomplished Arab woman who skillfully merged contemporary lifestyle with age-old cultural customs. For the most part, she steered clear of the first season’s drama and occasionally found herself eclipsed by her co-stars’ more dominant personalities.

Taleen was an excellent newcomer during the second season of RHODubai, and we’re eager to learn more about her in the coming episodes.

In seasons 11 and 12 of “America’s Next Top Model,” the veteran contestant grabbed a role, but didn’t leave a lasting impact on the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” (RHOA) world, except for being pregnant throughout most of her time there. However, she did earn points for her memorable reading of Marlo Hampton during their Tokyo stint.

As is customary, it usually takes observing multiple seasons to rank a new Housewife higher in our list. However, Katie made quite an entrance during the 18th season of RHOC, squaring off against veteran Housewife Heather Dubrow right from the start. It certainly takes a bold woman to challenge someone as high-profile as Ms. Fancypants.

Sara’s cheerful, wise perspective on life was generally enjoyable, yet lacked significant drama (except for the incident when she gave Caroline Brooks some unsolicited advice about parenting that wasn’t well-received). Nevertheless, this tech entrepreneur broke boundaries and defied expectations of what it means to be a contemporary Muslim woman in the Middle East, earning our admiration.

In the 13th season of “RHONJ” (Real Housewives of New Jersey), the newcomers seemed to embody the stereotypical Jersey Housewife and engaged in a prolonged argument about an insignificant matter, which Andy Cohen criticized as futile at the reunion. However, these former friends failed to contribute much depth during season 14.

In the first season, Larsa didn’t leave a strong impact before departing the show. When RHOM was rebooted for season four in 2021 by Peacock, her entire plotline revolved around her former friendship with Kim Kardashian and her involvement in selling foot photos on OnlyFans. (and other suggestive content…)

After spending one season as a Bravolebrity, she participated in season 12 of ‘Next Food Network Star’ in the year 2016. Unfortunately, she didn’t manage to win that competition as well.

Sadly, she seemed to serve as an easy target for Brandi Glanville. Moreover, her tagline, which glorified the questionable idea that one can never be too thin, was distasteful.
