Ethan Slater is a sentimental man—especially when it comes to girlfriend Ariana Grande.

Following the disclosure of the 2025 Oscars nominees by co-stars Bowen Yang and Rachel Sennott on January 23rd, the Broadway actor, who found his girlfriend on the set of “Wicked”, was particularly elated to notice the 31-year-old recognized among those nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her portrayal of Glinda in the film adaptation of the stage production. On Instagram Stories, he penned “Congrats, Oscar!” next to some posts highlighting Ariana’s nomination.

Emilia Pérez currently has the most nominations at 13, trailed closely by ‘Wicked’ and ‘The Brutalist’ with 10 each. Cynthia Erivo, Ariana’s co-star, also received a Best Actress nod for her portrayal of Elphaba in the musical. Additionally, the ‘Wizard of Oz’ prequel earned nominations for categories such as Best Picture, Best Original Score, Best Editing, Best Production Design, Best Costume Design, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Sound, and Best Visual Effects.

A source close to the pair, who reportedly started dating in July 2023 after meeting on the set of Wicked, shared this news with TopMob News. In early September 2023, Grande subtly showed her support for Slater by liking an announcement about his role in Spamalot on Broadway.

During the same month, they were spotted together for the first time at none other than Disney World, Ariana’s most cherished spot on the planet. Photos obtained by TMZ depict them strolling hand-in-hand through the Florida amusement park.

According to a reliable insider who is acquainted with both Grande and Slater, following their outing together, they were seen in the company of several close friends, including her mother and sibling. From all accounts, they appear to be content and well-suited as a couple.
